I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

That picture is too hilarious Myersguy.
I'm also 16, so don't feel bad.
Promotional picture for my artist page on myspace.
And yes,
I'm black.

Wait, you're 16? But that means you were like 12 or 13 when you started work on your game. I was barely into making RPGs when I was 12. Wow!
Indiana Jones 4
I don't know about that.
He seems to like anything with Dragon in the title
-Blue Dragon
-Dragon Warrior/Quest
-Dragoon Legends
-I think Dragon Fantasy
-and, of course, Dragon Kingdoms (V, at least) Probably because of the poisonous whale of doom.
Technically not leeching. The Emo Kid and the Poisonous Whale.
Only exceptions I know of to the Dragon rule are The Legend of Dragoon (the PSOne FF7 rip-off) and, Paladin of the White Dragon, or something like that.
long epics
-Legacies of Dondoran
and most attempts to further the RM community
-Sunset over Imdahl
-I think that FF7-9ish 3D game by Sanosuke
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull doesn't sound too good to me, either. I'm not so sure Shia can pull it off, and Harrison Ford has gotten a little old and gray for the part. And I fear the torch for "Indy 5" will be passed to him (Shia).

Hrm...Some Suggestions For An RPG.
7th Saga did make a Western release. I don't think Front Mission did, though. I could be wrong, though!

The worst game would be one of Garage Games' adventure-type games that were on their new site. It's either that or Blue Dragon. One can only take poo and a never-ending quest so long...
I don't know if you played it on hard mode or easy mode but I'm of the opinion that Blue Dragon is an incredibly game with tons of nuance and overall excellent design. Even though I hate it and will never play it again and I shiver just thinking about it.
I played it on hard mode, up to near the end of the 2nd disc. It's the game that goes on and on and on...

Two Screens from the opener of my first game, "Lessents Story".
I edited the first map after I took this shot, it isn't open to the right before that one cliff anymore...
Your username is oddly appropriate. Seeing as that first screen uses an SD3 set, and the 2nd uses CT or the set from DQ6's short beginning.
With that said, the extra cliff helps to fill the map so it isn't so empty looking anymore.

Yeah, I've noticed that *except* for games that AREN'T available in the US (Dragon Quest V & VI come to mind- but not for long), I generally get or at least try to get more value out of them when I buy them.

Question for lazy people
Unfortunately, Him's advice doesn't work too well for remakes. But for new games, I'd agree. And just how many RPG Maker games are 50 hours long, anyway?
What's more, I have yet to find an entertaining RM game that lasts that long. I wonder why that is?

How long can you tolerate dialogue to be?

I never liked a lot of the really old school games like FF1 because of this. 4 Generic, silent hereos out to save the world from a villain who want's to destroy the world for no apparent reason.
Hm. I can't actually remember if the original version actually had the kind of awesome ending that the Dawn of Souls version had. Because, if it truly did, then FF1 had a really good plot; the problem was that it was really bad executed.
The original FF did in fact have those elements. The TIME-LOOP thing, which returns everything to how it was every 2000 years, the rotting earth, the fiery volcano, and the sages- all of it. The problem is, like most everything in those days, it suffered from poor translation.
Seriously, we lost a LOT in translation in games right up to modern times. Remember, before the PSX, there were fairly strict limits to deal with. Once FF7 hit, it didn't matter as much, as expanding the script another 30 MB hardly mattered compared to the almost 2 GB big picture. By comparison, the largest SNES game was only 8 MB (64 megabits), IIRC.
Discuss: Elements
I use:
Fire, Ice, Thunder, Air, Earth, Wind, Water, Holy, Light, Dark, Evil
Biological (not exactly called that- but it contains sleep, poison, etc.)
Healing, Time (you know, stop, slow, quick, etc.)
Chaotic (spells have unpredictable effects)
and, of course, Non-Elemental or Neutral.
Sixteen elements. Many more if weapon effects are considered.
Holy and Light don't have to be the same. Holy can include divine influences, while Light is actual luminous effects. Dark is different from Evil, as well. Evil is demonic magic, while Dark is the dark energy or void in a spell.
Slimes seem to dislike Ice, because it hardens them and makes it harder for them to dodge attacks. Likewise, Fire makes it easier to do the same.
And the last dungeon shouldn't all be Dark or Evil based, either. Especially since skills are learned in about the same order as listed above, meaning you'd get the last Dark or Evil spells just before the final dungeon/tower/whatever. Sucks.
