VIDEOWIZARD'S PROFILE

I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

The RMN Comic Collaboration - Act 2

Actually, at the rate it was moving in August, I was afraid it was going to be my turn this coming week, which would have been a VERY BAD week to try to do this, since it's inventory time starting Tuesday (hooray). Now, I just hope it comes before mid-November or after December. Retail FTL.

Why DQIX is more progressive than you

^ Dragon Quest IX isn't the first game to use angel themes and Norse story elements.
The same thing happened to me with Dragon Warrior VII's release and the use of shards to unlock different lands on the world map.

It's about how well you make the game, not what's in it.

Update Notes (9/11/2010)

Also, Short Descriptions no longer show up in our gameprofiles. And we're limited to three lines for regular Descriptions. Don't know how you're supposed to write 300 words for a description that will only show half of them, at best.

Black Sigil for the DS -- it's like FF6 and CT had a baby

Yeah as WIP said on the first page I did some art for it (mostly boss graphics) but I am not particularly happy with how they were implemented. I've only seen a few so far but they all animate too fast and too unnatural for how I imagined them working, which is a shame. I was meant to work on the final boss too, except they abruptly ceased communications with me for no apparent reason and before I began pixel work for it. If I can find my doodles for it I will post them up if anyone is interested.

I never came across any gamebreaking bugs with how much I played. However the high encounter rate is too much for me to enjoy the game, so I quit playing about a third of the way through.

At least I got a game I worked on reviewed in EDGE! As a 5/10 score. Haha. :(

Sounds like I missed a run-of-the-mill JRPG. Or a poor one, depending how EDGE! scores a 5. Likely the latter, seeing as you couldn't even play it for long, even with the fact the game had your designs in it, however butchered they may be.

What are you working on now?

I made it where you can actually get away from a single enemy outside of combat (touch encounters), fixed up a menu system a bit, and made the places you can go on the map (Secret of Mana/Zelda style) more obvious.
I think I need a break.

Not as bad as I feared. Apparently, Celestial Descent is the low point by all measures. Oddly, Dragon Kingdoms IV has the most subscriptions.

Let's Try!

Yeah, I'd like to give it a go, with Dragon Kingdoms V.
Since the last person that was going to do a video series on it actually quit YouTube entirely. I wonder how many other takers there will be?

So what happened

So, what can we do to make it worth WIP's while to bring back the site, should it go down again?
I have a few ideas, including branching out with our games and events, and perhaps not acting like we're too important to play (and help out with!) each other's games once in a while.

I'm sure there are other things than I mentioned that we could do!

Befuddle Quest 5: Zack to the Future

I was going to do one last night (and Monday) but couldn't get to the site.

Dego

Maybe that could have been something that unlocked at level 200. By the way, I'm going to be updating my review of Dego within the next month, as it sounds like a lot has changed.
