I played this game about a month or 2 ago it perfect for a short one video LP.
And there are plenty more weird games you can find on RMN.
P.S. I'm not affiliated with Punch Bears I just think this game is neat.

Final Fantasy XV
author=TrihanAh I still haven't played XIII. Thanks for clarifying. I'd like to try XIII eventually I don't really care that a lot of people hated it because of it being linear. I'll probably enjoy it. The only FF games I refuse to play are XI and XIV the online time wasters that are mostly void of story.

Anyone who thinks the name "Final Fantasy" means anything other than "big budget Square Enix game" is kidding themselves.
I mostly agree with LockeZ. But I have a bit more of a romantic interpretation. I've always felt that the title Final Fantasy was a promise of an epic and dramatic storyline.
P.S. - I hate blitzball (sorry blitzball fans) thank god you didn't have to win that to progress. Blitzball looked like simple math but the numbers never worked. I tutored Math in college yet I couldn't deal with Blitzball. The best FF mini game was VIII's card game.
How do people feel about RPGs with no consumable items?
The only RPG I've played without healing items was Xenoblade and it worked great for that game because all your HP was restored shortly after the end of a battle. Plus there was healing spells that you could use in battle that required no MP you just had to wait a bit between spells.
If you wanted to make an RPG Maker game without Items I suggest going into the script and removing the Item menu. Otherwise you just have an empty useless menu. Then again you could keep that item menu around for other stuff.

Superhero RPG: Is it possible with RPG Maker
I've seen plenty of modern tilesets while browsing the web I'm sure you can find what you need.

My game is called Nsala Liberation it's an African themed adventure/puzzle game.

Edit: It doesn't quite fit the criteria you listed in your first post so I understand if you don't want to try it. It's not an RPG but it has some RPG elements. Also, it will likely take you more than 10 hours although I've personally speed ran it in 5 hours.

I know in FF6 he had nothing to do with airships but still it's the standard Cid role. By the way wasn't the school that FF8 Cid was in charge of turn into an airship? So he is still an airship guy in that game too.
Anyway doctor, soldier (wait which game was he a soldier?), and airship pilot aren't really comparable. Whereas being in charge of land vehicles rather than a vehicle that soars majestically through the sky can be compared I think.
