What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I've been having a blast playing Castlevania: Symphony of the night 2!!! a.k.a. Harmony of dissonance. Symphony of the night is one game I could play over and over and over again no matter how many times Konami sells it to me dressed up as a completely new game. (I just wish these games had stories worth giving a damn about, though). =P
One thing I like about this particular version is that it is fast from the beginning. You can dash left or right in not time and cover a lot of ground that way. In other games you have to wait until the mid-to-late game to get an item/spell/whatever that let's you run. Until that point, you have to slug through the game. UGH! ...I think I'll attempt a low-level speed-run the next time I play this game.
But now I'll go play Circle of the moon again. In wich you have to double-tap in one direction to run a bit faster than you can walk. *sigh*

Dreaming Mary Review
I strongly disagree with the idea than a subject needs to be approached in a certain way or no way just because of its "volatiledness" (sp?) or "cultural baggage". I agree that when any subject is approached in a shallowly manner it can be considered 'cheap writing', and thus, it remains valid to point that out, and even encourage the author to do better. S'all good until that point...
But really, there's cheap writing all around us that we don't make an issue of... As "story-tellers", I think is in our best interest to remain objective to any kind of subject, or setting, or whatever, at the same time that we strive to improve our craft. -- I don't know, I just feel there's a line between simply being socially-aware and conforming to people's personal brands of "respect".

All opinion aside, I think this review could do a little better itself. Instead of focusing so many paragraphs to the subject of abuse, talk a bit more about the actual gameplay and graphics? ...Well, I guess as long as it's unrated, it's cool. =P

Not sure what to buy...
I wouldn't say Golden Sun is a terrible game, but I wouldn't say it's one of the "best" jrpgs either (Unless for you "best" is synonyms with "generic" ;D) For me it was an "OK" game... OP, if you're inclined in getting an rpg then get Golden Sun, or Golden Sun 2 if that's an option (The slightly better game of the two). Otherwise get Metroid Fusion or Zero Mission; both truly good games.
Dunno what other games are available, but I'd recommend any of the Castlevania games, The Mega Man Zero series, Tactics Ogre: The knight of Lodis, or a 'Sting' game (Riviera: The promised land or Yggdra Union: We'll never fight alone).

Sega Sataan, Shiro!
I guess you could sign me up for the "Retro-fag" club, but more out of convenience than anything else. If I had the kind of moneyz to buy a current generation console (or even a past generation console xP) I would... But in the mean time I'm perfectly happy playing second-hand, 10+ year old games in the middle of 2014. Oh, yeeeah! 8D
I got a Gameboy Advance a few years ago, but I've pretty much played all the good games already, so I'm looking into other old consoles. The Sega Saturn was (is?) among them, but besides the Panzer Dragoon series I don't think there are many games on it that I could enjoy, or that I could get a copy easily. Instead I've been thinking of getting a Dreamcast (surprisingly, they're about the same prize), if not only for games like Skies of Arcadia and Shenmue, two titles I hear a lot about.
That Saga Saturn video is awesome, btw. xD

RPG Maker 2003 Question of Legalities
Heh; And what stops people from simply screen-caping the images and uploading the entire manga in a convenient .cbz file?
...Seriously, you should just do that yourself and be done with it. =P

What are you thinking about right now?
I wouldn't. It looks kind of goofy, really. Like something straight out of a Del Toro's movie... How hard is to get Baphomet right? xP

It's not bad as it is, but maybe something a bit more "conceptual" would be more fitting for a horror game. For example, rather than showing the character's full-portraits, how about just showing their silhouettes? Or maybe just two hands united by the string, idk...
Another thing. The word "apoptosis" is a bit difficult to read. Why does it have to have a different font and size than the word "Mica"?

Illusions of Loyalty Review
Well, I don't meant to be nit-picky myself (tee-he) but just to give one example: In the graphics section, you first detract one point over an immersion-breaking event and then detract two points over another. And not only I don't consider those things to be so "immersion-breaking", but I also fail to see how one counts more than the other... I don't know, I would probably only have detracted one point between the two, or maybe one point each, but I guess I'm just more lenient that way. ;P
Edit: Well, I got that you considered one to be more jarring than the other. I just believe both to be about as equal in severity. *shrug*
