Zero Suit Samus
I was thinking about the older designs for Samus without armor and man, they just work. They look way better than the current Zero suit in my opinion.

Here is her Metroid Prime design
Both of those images feel more like the true Samus than the Zero suit design. Plus, Gunpei Yokoi was still around to approve of the SNES design.
I don't hate the new look but I just feel like it doesn't suit Samus as well the more naturalistic older designs. These days she's looking more like an anime character. NOTE - I LOVE ANIME but I don't think the particular anime style that they use for Samus works as well as a more naturalistic look does.
For comparison here's the Zero Suit
What do you think is the best design for Samus?
Do you want her design to go back to her roots like I do or do you prefer the current designs?
As a side note - I like all of the various power suits. They are all bad ass looking. I wish the light suit was an alt costume in Smash.

Smash Bros Assit Trophies
I'm really satisfied with the current roster for the new Smash.well I still want Ridley but oh well.I got Shulk to play as and that was my number one pick so I'm pretty happy.Riki is happy happy
So instead I thought lets talk about possible Assist trophies we already know what they are for 3DS but maybe the WiiU version has more.
Personally, I want Xenoblade's Reyn as an assist trophy. He can do the WILD DOWN on an opponent and topple them. It would work like Diddy Kong's banana peel except it would not only make the opponent fall but also do a great deal of damage. After Reyn attacks before he exits he should say: "Good thing I'm here. No? Anyone?"
Another one could be Vivian from Paper Mario. He/She could hide you from the next upcoming attack from the enemy.

What games should I play?
Well of those titles I can only personally recommend Skyward Sword, Dragon Quest VIII and Final Fantasy VII. Skyward Sword would be the top pick. Despite liking the FF series more DQ 8 is amazing and I think I'll recommend it over FF 7.
I have also played Opoona but I didn't take the time to beat it I've been too busy. My opinion of it so far is that its just okay not great but still kinda fun.
Although I have yet to try Braid or FEZ they look really cool.
My best friend Josh likes Mass Effect so I trust that its good but like Nova said if you like it get the third game too.

Either is fine.
One thing you mention though is the plot device of destiny. I just wanna say I don't like the whole destiny thing. Why should anyone be born to do something? We have free will and free will is way more interesting. Destiny is just another way of saying the main character has to do something just because.

Riki and all Nopon. No, screw the other characters, Riki is nothing short of friggen awesome. He has the highest HP in the game, a ton of moves that just stack statuses like a game of Death Jenga, can heal, can deal damage, and can even steal stats. He has a family, loves his wife and kids, and has a suit of armor that makes him look like a durian made of metal. No question, Riki is the best character.
I like Riki's tiger costume the most.

I thought of using the word mascot but not all of the characters are mascots for example, the Korok. Also, I would have to list the Chocobo instead of the Moogle if we were doing only mascots.
So, to avoid people saying that some of the characters listed aren't mascots I came up with the current title.
Although, perhaps I should have called it CUTE LITTLE FAT GUYS/GALS FROM RPGS you know just to make it a more balanced title.

I've been playing a lot of Xenoblade and I find the Nopon to be adorable so I figured hey why not make a poll about those little fat characters from RPG games.
I know he's not little but gotta give CT some representation.
I'm aware Persona is a spin off of Shin Megami but I figured people would want both shown. That being said I don't know much about the series so hopefully I was correct in my choices for the game's cute little fat guy.

HD Xenosaga
So there might be a chance of an HD Xenosaga. Apparently to show so support you are supposed to send a tweet at the designer of the game. I personally have never done that whole twitter thing but I am interested in the HD remake. I'm a Xenogears and Xenoblade fan and I've always wanted to play Xenosaga but never got a chance to. Maybe I'll buy the HD remake, if it ever gets made. Anyway, just figured I'd share since I'm sure there are other Xeno fans on the site.

Random RPG Crossover
Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross yeah they are already in the same universe but what I'm proposing is a game where you can travel through not only different time periods (like CT) but also dimensions like (CC) Every time period would have an alternate dimension. It would probably get confusing but eh I'd still play it.
