[FULL GAME] Wraith: The Second Chapter ~Sainth~

Hey, do you know what it means to be "normal"?

It means that you can accept the things that happen in your life for what they are, and that it in turn accepts you for what you are. You can wake up in the morning and wash your face, brush your teeth, and head out, knowing that your immediate future will most likely be mudane and ordinary.

And yet, it's not until you lose this notion, that you'd realize just what being "normal" is all about. Because once you stop being "normal", well.. you can try to undo things, but you can never truly go back.

I couldn't anyways..

The Story So Far..

Spoiler Alerts! Do not read if you have not played Wraith, or won't.

On June 9, 2005, Kana Aylwin, her best friend Lily Collins and others from the University of Turner attended a workshop at Wellington Manor in Australia. During the night, Kana discovered a wraith hidden away beneath the manor, which escapes its prison. It soon becomes up to her to save her friends and decipher the mysteries behind the wraith and the Wellington family.

In the end, Kana manages to exorcise the wraith. However, those who come into contact with a wraith will over time, become a wraith themselves. In order to receive treatment, Kana went with a group of representatives from the Agency, an organization created to prevent the revealment of the supernatural to the public eye. But, it soon became apparent that they were not from the Agency at all. Kana has not been found since..

Story

3 years after the events of Wraith, Lily Collins has returned to her hometown in England. One winter day, she meets "her" under the snowy tree.

...

Awakening in an unknown place, Lily must learn what happened and why..

Notes:
- This is the storyline sequel to my first game: Wraith. Check it out here: http://www.rpgmaker.net/games/379/
- This shouldn't take too long to play through. My beta testers averaged about 2 hours to fully complete the game.
- This is my third completed game :). The other two can be found here and here.
- Every action in the game can be accomplished by either Z, Up + Z, or Down + Z, in case you skip the tutorial.
- If you ever get stuck, remember to check the ceiling.
- If you're playing the game in the editor, don't use Shift to walk off movable boxes, or you'll screw up the code and glitches will happen.

5/2/08: The Night GamingW Went Up in Flames

Yeah, I'm also confused. What happened?

Eternal Night: The Seedling's Rise

Good stuff, bud. Keep on truckin'

Sainth

Yeah, I definitely put more thought and effort into fine-tuning Wraith than I did Alter AILA. But I guess adventure games just don't compare to good ol' RPGs. Course the flip side is that I didn't have to worry so much about balancing numbers :).

Man Stuck in Elevator for 41 hours!

At a certain point, he decided to open the doors. He pried them apart and held them open with his foot. He was presented with a cinder-block wall on which, perfectly centered, were scrawled three “13”sâ€"one in chalk, one in red paint, one in black. It was a dispiriting sight. He peered down through the crack between the wall and the sill of the elevator and saw that it was very dark. He could make out some light at the bottom. It looked far away. A breeze blew up the shaft.

Can you just imagine? The elevator's stopped for several hours, and the emergency phone is broken. Prying open the doors, the first thing to greet you is the number 13 written three times in different mediums. It's like something straight out of Silent Hill. I'd honestly start to freak out after a few hours.

Guess the Game!!!

JILL OF THE JUNGLE 3: JILL SAVES THE PRINCE

Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man Oh man

I remember always glitching the first game so that 50 daggers fell out from the 1 that I had. Then I'd try to carry as many of them as I could to the exit (You could only carry 3 max so you'd have to keep tossing and picking them up). Good times.

I would just sit down and think.

I can muse to myself probably indefinitely and not get bored. There is so much to think about.

I mean, think about it.

I was going to reply to this, but the more I thought about it, the further I got from my original idea. Now I can't remember what I was going to say.

Gimme a sec though, I'm sure I'll remember what it was if I think about it for a bit.

Super Mario Bros for the NES

While I don't actually remember, this was probably my first game too. Either that or some really ghetto DOS games comprising of less than 5 colors.
