FLYINGJESTER'S PROFILE
I am the Jester.
I make games using JavaScript, C, C++, Mercury, Java, Assembly (amd64 and UltraSparc) and Python. I used to use Sphere a lot, but I'm more into C/C++ and Mercury nowadays. I still use JavaScript and embed it sometimes, and I usually use Python for build systems and system management.
I wrote TurboSphere, which is a recreation of the Sphere Game Engine with a number of major improvements. I'm not really working on it anymore.
I'm surely going to finish making a game someday. I mean, sooner or later, it's bound to happen. Right?

This is the combat mode, which is turn based. Almost all the controls are missing still, but the movement is working. In roaming mode you are no longer tied to the grid, and it's real time.
Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I am working on making dynamic half-tile shading for my tile engine, like in simcity 2000.
And it's kicking my ass, but when even a single tile is somehow shaded correctly it is so, so becomes beautiful.

How do people port their games?
What platforms do you want your game to run on?
It'll probably take a lot of extra mobile-only work to make it work on desktop and mobile platforms.

[Poll] Internet Browser of Choice
I'm surprised Netscape was mentioned...because I'm using it right now!
It's just about the most modern browser that still works on PowerPC mac laptops. Well, except iCab. I keep having to switch between the two while browsing, since a lot of websites crash one or the other.
And I use Konquerer on my other laptop.

It is in egnine...in the Sphere RPG engine (and TurboSphere too!).
That's my Majestic Map Engine! I made if for an RTS that I never finished. It does, however, give things a more technical, less artistic look even without the gridlines.

I can't remember when heaven held the world
When I still called her my girl. Back when she said that heaven doesn't hold the world, it just holds me.

@Shinan: Either way, PopCap chose EA, presumably because the culture of the company was in line with their own.
Well I, for one, am disappointed. Whatever happened to those plucky little game shops that earn their worth the hard way, proving that innovation and/or real quality are what counts?
Oh yeah, They get bought by EA, who fires the people who are responsible for the success.
