FLYINGJESTER'S PROFILE
I am the Jester.
I make games using JavaScript, C, C++, Mercury, Java, Assembly (amd64 and UltraSparc) and Python. I used to use Sphere a lot, but I'm more into C/C++ and Mercury nowadays. I still use JavaScript and embed it sometimes, and I usually use Python for build systems and system management.
I wrote TurboSphere, which is a recreation of the Sphere Game Engine with a number of major improvements. I'm not really working on it anymore.
I'm surely going to finish making a game someday. I mean, sooner or later, it's bound to happen. Right?

I discovered recently that gin makes me violently ill.
E:
yes, I avoided gin until I was 34. Why drink gin when you can drink rye, vodka, rum, amaretto, beer, wine, cider, or soju?
Gin is the tears of God. Delicious.
Although I do like rye, rum, amaretto, and beer. You can keep the wine and vodka though :P

E2:
I also avoid tequila.
This I absolutely agree with.

Swift is odd. I for one do not care much about it, since it does not offer much that was not available before, and I do not much care about developing for iOS in particular. It reminds me a lot of Ruby, Python, and JavaScript. While it is compiled, I'm not sure how much that really adds. I am already quite comfortable with C and somewhat with Objective-C, so the performance benefits are of dubious value to me.
Really sadly, OS X doesn't have much of a future, so even in that regard Swift doesn't matter much to me. It's not that it's bad, I just don't care.

I think in particular about "Down with the Sickness". I remember when it sounded like the hardest of the hard core. And now it's almost laughable that I ever thought that.

@Fearful: To clarify, I asked for pics of the cat shit that looked like a dick. Although it reminds me of a snail more, leaving some kind of impossible snail trail coming from the shell rather than the snail tail.
I'm Going on Vacation! But where do I Go??
Doesn't matter when, a staycation is what I recommend. Or better yet, don't be a jerk. Unwind by being a man, and going to work.
But in reality, Alaska is really nice this time of year. Things have started back up after winter, but the tourist-scene hasn't hit its full stride yet. Probably not a road trip, but I'm not sure where I'd roadtrip to from where you live...

Turns out, nobody cares about fuel pump flange gaskets in the year 2016
Well, the guy who owned the car before me had a shop try to fix the oil leak from the engine. They 'fixed' it, but it still happened. He saw it was from the fuel pump, and he bought a complete rebuild kit for the pump (which includes a few gaskets), but when I went to actually use the kit, I discovered that it had only one of the two gaskets. It had the one that goes between the fuel pump and the flange, but not the one between the flange and the engine.
I can only assume that the shop made the same mistake?
(engage angry 60-year-old mode) that's the trouble with so-called 'machanics' today. They don't actually know what they are doing, and they lack the analytical skills required to do their job. Did they think that maybe, just maybe, the fact that they removed a gasket that had no replacement was a bad sign?
Either they didn't understand or didn't care. Can't trust anyone with mechanical work these days.
Craze:...how did you know this was for a Beetle!?
