RMNMeet 2020
So, how does this look for you? I def can travel, but I'm also little out of money as I haven't worked since March.
New RPG Maker incoming?
Unity and Marrend both made some good points. It really looks a lot like VX.
Also, I'm in a fairly civilized country and I still have only 8 gigs of ram. Visitor, not everyone has a decent job or even need for a powerful machine. I think that 4 gigs are still fairly common among non-gamers.
You're getting somewhere with this post. It looks amazing for people who never used RPG Maker before and not so much for regulars. The reason for this is that they don't really want to make an engine for advanced users. Frankly, this shows that sticking with RM of your choice is completely valid.
If you want rpg maker advance, learning love, game maker or something else is still your best option.
That said, I'm still fan of it being a hobbyist software.

I think, mostly, however, this update screams "if you've never used an RPG Maker before, LOTS OF COOL STUFF IS IN HERE! If you have used an RPG Maker before, all of this is way too vague to tell you if you're gonna want to switch to MZ." This should have all dropped when they announced a new RPG Maker, IMO. Telling people a big update was coming and then dropping this super vague stuff isn't impressive. Knowing the minimum system requirements is nice tho.

Actually, one thing I'd appreciate, and which would help me to return in gammak, would be linux support. But that's more of a pipe dream than an ability to export to switch.
[MAFIA] Star Trek (Limited Reveal) Mafia - Day 1
that's not how parity cop usually works. In an open/semi-open 11 er doctor and coroner are enough on their own to counter balance janitor. 11ers are difficult to properly balanced as usual setups are 9ers for 2 wolves and 13ers for 3.
Some general balancing advice:
a) With eleven players you can play mountainous (no special powers) and that's a completely balanced setup you can always start before adding more roles.
b) Don't give town too many roles in an open setup. Parity cop is a weaker version of alignment cop usually. At MU it starts with one player on n0 and you can check another one n1 to find out if they have the same alignment. On n2, you're comparing alignments of your n1 peek with your n2 peek. As usual rb is an ideal role to counter balance parity cop with. You could use godfather too.
c)I would recommend giving scum janitor over coroner/strongman and remove death miller. Town could have a coroner.
d)Like using parity cop against janitor with no other roles could be interesting on its own and probably lead to some interesting situations. It basically starts as flipless and if both of them die, you still have a solid balanced game of mafia.
So, my suggestions for improving this setup would be:
1 town parity cop (one scan/night)
8 vanillagers
1 mafia janitor
1 mafia goon
or for less tin foil
1 town parity cop (one scan/night)
1 town coroner
7 vanillagers
1 mafia janitor
1 mafia roleblocker

I don't think it makes sense for kadokawa/degica to make their engine a framework for unity.
I'd much prefer return to ruby and more unique flavour RM used to have over portability.
A graphical UI editor would be a great addition. I would love to tinker with that.

It'd be funny if they released it and were like "LATE APRIL FOOLS IT'S ACTUALLY A SHMUP MAKER AND WE'RE PIVOTING! SMELL YA LATER, PUNKS!"
I'm hype for this. And for the return of ruby.
What exactly happened to Pixel MV?
