I was going to clean up the edges and some remaining colorsplotching (like on her hair and the yellow bust detailing, the yellow collar), but otherwise, that's the completed face set. Technically a WIP I guess but I didn't think it was that bad at all. Thanks for ripping my editing skills to shreds. :(

Hehe~ Sorry about that. But in return I could give you a few tips if you want, just send me the source images and I'll give it a try.

I was thinking that but going back and forth - I've been 50/50 on that one. Computer monitors are really really bright in a room that has the lights turned off... (since it is technically not in the same room as the lighted kitchen). Should I lower the light intensity and disperse the glow to a slightly larger area?

Totally, after all light travels very very fast and it's really bouncing everywhere all the time... or something "scientific" like that. xP

Is the portrait a placeholder? or a wip? or what? I'm curious because it's very poorly edited, it has jpg artifacts all over it, jagged edges, and the colors could use a touch as well. Also, you should place it a little lower, I don't think I should be able to see the bottom of the text-box under it.

...Oh, and just to be a nag, that red spot of light on that computer is way too bright. ;D

The Bad Guy Wins

I'm too lazy to write a long post about this right now, but have you guys seen the movie Hero? you know, the one with jet li? I think that's a nice approach to this subject, but I don't know how well would it translate to a game though.

Is it me or you just uploaded a bunch of screens of the same map? I mean, was it necessary? Think of the frontpage! <_> Well, anyway... I like the carpet of flowers here, it's really beautiful, and the distribution of tiles seems good enough, I'd just recommend you to get rid of a few variations of trees (especially the small round ones, they just don't fit) as well as that leafy shadow effect. xP

Battle script and character skills

So, if I understood correctly, you will only be in control of one character at a time in an “active” kind of battle, right? So I guess it's gonna be like “soloing” in any other rpg. The idea does sound interesting but I hope battles don't get too lengthy or difficult...

I think a system like this could benefit a lot from any kind of aid for the player to finish battles quick and easy, so in addition to swapping speeds and equipment setups, what about unite attacks to make thing more dynamic? eg: Swaping Mielle -> Vila -> Sorionne = “Beauty Attack” Or how about using the surroundings? For example if you're fighting inside a cave then maybe you could cause a cave-in over the enemies.

But ideas abound, I guess, and that's not what you need right now. ^^;;; Sadly I can't help you with scripts since I know nothing of that, but if there is anything you think I can do, don't hesitate to ask. Meanwhile I can only wish you good luck, so, Good luck! ;P

Including girls in videogames… bad if you do, bad if you don't.

Nice. I like the overall look of this... Streets could be wider, lampposts could be closer to the street, etc. but nah, it has its charm as is. =P

I love how China is part of the demon empire.

Battle system preview

I like this! The characters look cute and are nicely animated, the menu design is simple and neat, it all works very well together really... just a couple of observations though, you should center both parties better on the screen (they're a bit to the left now) that way not only will look better but the pop-out command menu won't obstruct the visibility of the enemies to the player.

Also, the damage/heal numbers digits are too spread out and that makes them difficult to read; but In the other hand the "dodge" message (and I assume other as well) is too big... Actually, both these elements should have the same size, so find a nice in-between and you'll be all good. =)
