Release Something! V - Release Thread
I finally made it home *thanks, retail!* and have something to share with you.
I'm releasing information on Dragon Kingdoms VI: Heroes of the Past.
STORY
On an island in the middle of a vast cosmos, a beautiful island paradise full of life, is the remains of a legend. For a young man lives on this island- he's said to be the only one that can return the island into a full world. Even though this island is peaceful, there is trouble in the past, within the other Eras. A Time Demon is altering the history of the worlds, and Kevin must do something to stop this mysterious beast from succeeding- unless he wishes to disappear from existence. For if the Time Demon causes something to happen that removes his predecessors... Kevin will no longer exist! Luckily, Kevin has a tool to assist him in his quest- a time vehicle, Timeveh, which can whisk him off to any point in the past. His giant friend, William, knows where Kevin should go, as he knows more about the past than many people realize. And during his quest, Kevin will find some people to help in his quest to stop the Time Demon from ruining the past!
CONCEPTS
Dragon Kingdoms: Heroes of the Past will contain some concepts that aren't usually seen in RPG Maker games, and not many commercial RPGs, either. The Icon system from Shards of Creation has returned, and has been extended. In addition to turning into a ghost and being invisible to most enemies and hopping across a pond as a frog, many new abilities are now available!
Here's a few of the notable abilities:
Dragon Icon- Kevin turns into a dragon and flies around, roasting the enemies! Don't use it on fire enemies, though.
Ghost Icon- Kevin turns into a ghost and can go through some walls (only in a certain direction). He's also invisible to enemies for 30 seconds, with the exception of ghosts and bosses.
Giant Icon- Kevin turns into a giant! Any enemies/obstacles met in this form will be smashed. Also, the field looks smaller. Fairly rare, though.
Ion Icon- Kevin turns into pure energy and can destroy the enemies! However, these icons are rare.
Many more icons will appear in-game, including some you might never expect.
SCREENS

So, when can you play it? When Enterbrain gets off their collective asses and releases Action Game Maker, that's when. This will be an action RPG, rather than boring old traditional gets the game NOT played RPG.

Release Something! V - Release Thread
This is a two-part release from me! Wow!
The first is an actual game:
None other than Dragon Kingdoms IV! Max isn't the only one around here that can re-release older games, you know.
And this one's from 2001, before the silly three-tile rule started. That means it can only be on RPG Maker 2000.
There are over a dozen characters you'll see during your adventure, which will span many continents, many days, and possibly even other worlds...
It has been 1000 years since the world has suffered from the Ultimate Evil, and things were peaceful. Then the moon came into a certain position, causing more monsters to be born, just in time for the Ultimate Evil to break free from his prison that he was banished to in Dragon Kingdoms III. This time, he decides to shake things up a bit, literally in some cases. He causes some horrible disasters to hit the world.
Now, the Elements are in chaos, doing unpredictable things to the world. The snow covers more land while volcanoes erupt, the ground shakes, waves pummel the lowlands, and evil prevails over Light. If this situation isn't remedied, the world will destroy itself.
Screens:
Remember, this is an older game. We were just starting to use other tiles than RTP:

Download:
It's here! Dragon Kingdoms IV is now officially on RMN!
Download it here at RMN!
The second part of my release will be a little different. I'm waiting for the people at Enterbrain to get Action Game Maker ready for the next game, which I hinted at earlier in the month. It'll be up later in the day.

The weather topic V2
Yes. Florida is not always the tropical paradise people believe it to be. In fact, the only place in the state that has never seen wintry weather is Key West. In the great storm of March 1993, the western panhandle saw almost half a foot of snow in places! That's bad when a spring storm can bring snow to the Gulf Coast.
That said, the only ice usually seen in the state is hail from summer thunderstorms. And usually if Florida is getting hammered by winter weather, the north has it even worse!

The coldest it ever gets down here is a little bit of wind during Decemeber, other than that we have 2 seasons ... Summer and Hurricane season.
You know, it's still not too late for a December storm like in the past several years. Watch your karma.
Here in Florida, it's 79 degrees and sunny, but it's been down to near freezing in the last couple weeks, and the warmer weather after COLD *for FL* weather leads to fog. That sure beats scraping ICE off the windshield (in Florida? Blasphemy) like I had to on December 3rd.
However, it will get chilly again just like in Atlanta this coming weekend (Dec 21).

Yesterday, as expected, I made part of the back-facing set for the main character. Of course, that means next are the sides. *shudders*

Yesterday, I finished the front-facing set for the main character. The back-facing set will be easy. That just leaves the sides. Then, I make the other seven characters plus NPCs.

Starting to make some progress again, as I started a character set of the main character in Birth of a Legend yesterday.
Dragonball Evolution(With Hillarious Trailer)
Ticket sales for Dragonball Evolution will be just over 9000... dollars. Or else that's how many minutes it'll be shown at theaters before they pull it.
