VIDEOWIZARD'S PROFILE

I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

Action Game Maker Features Revealed

Now I'm worried that RPG Maker VX may have killed the RPG Maker series, much like Dragon Quarter killed the Breath of Fire series (sorry Jakester). Hopefully, we can at least change the menus around.

Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend

Just cleaning up the blogs. I think I will go back to the old format of multiple entries on an update, and only when a significant amount of progress happens will there be a new one.

Forlorn Manor

As of February 17, it says:
Story / Characters

Three college students spend their vacation visiting an abandoned mansion one received as a inheritance. The mansion has a bad history of being haunted, but ghosts aren't real, right?

Features

A custom ABS system that centers on gun-style combat and interactive use of the mouse to solve problems with skills and items that you collect as you go.

Character switching between the two characters that allows you to solve unique puzzles and fight challenging boss fights that will require as much clever thinking as twitch reactions.

A multitude of weapons like shotguns, crossbows, and various handguns.

Playtime of at least 1 to 1.5 hours if you know all the solutions, averaging between 2 to 4 hours of total playtime.

Muse

Played it, apparently all you do for 40 minutes is look around the whole space station talking to people, searching for stuff. Then it finally got interesting, and then it ended. Not my cup of tea.

How did you find rpgmaker.net and why did you stick around?

The question is, which staff member were you back in the day? DiscoStew? AegisKnight? janus? Or linguar? Or someone else entirely. I believe I submitted a game there back in the day, as well.

Turns out I did:

And how does a game get a MINUS 2 for a review score? Pigs in Hell must've been a joy to play in 2000.

:The Game Making Drive/Blog Topic

With the edit chain broken, it seems my muse went on vacation, hence no update for Monday. Maybe that's what I get for badmouthing Muse?

VideoWizard's Playlist- where I play non-commercial games.

I have this thing going where I play games to help solve the problem of underplayed games. If your game is on the 2009 release list, you're already in queue. But, if it's 2008 or earlier, you can still make a request that I may consider.

Out of 83 games, I've played 2, and the results are below.

Terra Nova: Eyes of the Machine by psy_wombats
I downloaded it, and couldn't get it to work because the file contained "invalid information". Sorry.

Muse by AznChipmunk/YummyDrumsticks/Malad
It has an impressive developer pedigree, right? So the game can't possibly go wrong, right? Well... you'd be wrong. Your character, Selim Shirazi, is aboard the space station Vestel. You wander the station for a good 40 minutes trying to figure out what is going on, finding out a little bit at a time. Suffice it to say that the show's over when things get interesting. Sorry again.

Next up is:
Forlorn Manor by Anaryu

Followed by:
DotPlus by hima
ABS demo by AznChipmunk
Special Project by AznChipmunk
Three Immortal by piggman77
Eternal Star by Ultima187
Unnamed by Starky
Forever's End version 3.0 by NicoB
Crayon Physics Deluxe by Petri Purho

and
Pirates: The Legend of the Silver Crescent by Carius

Looking forward to finding some lost gems, those underplayed games that deserve attention.

Terra Nova: Eyes of the Machine

I couldn't get the game to work. The installation program seems to have a problem. Would it be possible to have a release through .zip or .rar file?

Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend

Right, so you'd rather the game drop off the face of the earth because it rarely advertises, Heath. It's not my fault that some of us have obligations to fill in life, and thus can't always have a substantial update. You know it's bad when a STAFF member calls out a couple of games that are unappreciated. If it bothers you that much, click on "Latest Updated Games" under the Games section.

As for the 1.5, that came from a reviewer whose highest score on any review was 2, and also the game isn't finished yet.

Professionalism, Now With Less Exit Fate

People make advert topics because, in this RPG Making climate, your game won't get played otherwise. And sometimes, it won't get played even then. Play Something can only go so far, it's up to us to play games ALL the time.
