VIDEOWIZARD'S PROFILE

I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

Sam's Articles #1 - Risk and Reward

I don't know about points dropping off the map with the NES. Most RPGs have plenty of points. Final Fantasy I, III-IX, X-2 & XII and all Dragon Quests have experience points, for example, and in Dragon Quest games (except in I), you only need to be about level 40-45 to beat the game. That would make it playing for points and levels thereafter. It is not a requirement to get 9,999,682 EXP to reach level 99 in Final Fantasy, but there's always that choice.

Teal deer; RPGs can be playing for points.

New blood? Part Deux

Ouch.

Not all of us make half-games, either. Also, I don't think 110+ games in a quarter is a failure. The game making community probably makes more games in a quarter than there are PS3 games a year (although the PS3 is starting to get better about it). Also, last I checked, the amount of games that have had a review was nearly 40%- nothing short of FORCING people to play games will improve that. We could use artists & musicians in the community, but above all else, we need PLAYERS.

Dragonball: Fans of the anime will be apalled

Its name origins are probably more interesting than the movie.

The DQ-stylings of Generica are really getting me to think about playing it.

Celestial Descent

I uploaded a new file an hour and a half before your comment, so that should work now.

Release Something! Day VI - Release Thread

I hope it's not too late...

Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend
-Episode One-

Some more screens for this upcoming release:

The objects are subject to change, but this should give you a good idea what the game will look like.

Celestial Descent
A game released in 2002 for RPG Maker 2000 that stopped development due to lack of interest and mediocre reviews, it nonetheless is something quite different from me, like I promised. (It would've been an Action Game Maker thing instead, if it weren't so limited)

You control a young man named Angel, who seems to act anything but, and three other party members: Chere, a sweetheart of a lady that can understand different languages; Slimey, a slime that is smarter than most people think, and Azure, an elf, that lends the party use of his vehicles across the desert.

Screens

Download (3MB, large for 2002 standards) Requires RM2k RTP.
Soon to be available on RMN hopefully; for now, at this site.

Just an awkward stage in this game's development.

INSIDE

Where's the screenshots? That might be why there's only been five downloads of this game.

RM2K Dragon Warrior Chipsets. Can someone help?

I thought the Dragon Warrior II chipsets were almost the same as Dragon Warrior III's? At least for the world map, and probably a few other places. If it's because DWIII has day and night and DWII doesn't, that's a screen tinting issue.

Interested? DW: Rema's Origin (Title pending!)

How about elaborating on how DW2 became part of DW1's world? Places like Moonbrooke and Midenhall, as well as Lianport. Did they just not exist yet, or was the Dark World sealed away (shades of DW7)? You should at least be able to see Lianport off to the west of Garinham.
