I've been at making games for RPG Maker for almost 20 years! No, they're not ALL Dragon Kingdoms games, just most of 'em.

Most underated RTP character

post=96700
For me, it has to be that fat dude in my avatar. Seriously, have you seen a PLAYABLE character using his charset?
I should stop posting random topics now

Looks like I beat you to it. In 2001. Yes, he uses the same charset despite the redone facesets.
Getting a RPG Maker game to work on a website?
Try asking the guy at vizzed.com how he got his RPG Maker 95 game running on it. Though, I have a feeling that it was done in Flash with RM95 RTP sets. As for having the game hosted, why not submit it to RMN?
Final Fantasy III, no, not the one with Kefka (Cefca)
Let's discuss Final Fantasy III. You know, the one that was released in Japan in 1990, and released on the Nintendo DS in 2006. The one with four kids in some cave, finding crystals to get jobs, and on some weird flying continent that makes me wonder why the water on it never fell off to the world below.
Release Something! Day VIII: Journey of the Cursed King [Sign ups]
After it not appearing yet this year, I'm planning on releasing what I have of Dragon Kingdoms: Birth of a Legend for RS! VIII. Heck, the series that's being highlighted for this RS inspired my games to start with!
RMN3 Bugs
I tried a reply in said topic, wondering if it might work the kink in it out, but alas, it gives the same error CP got.
Best RM Games you've Ever Played
I see a lot of the same games popping up over and over, which I guess can be expected, but it would be nice for us to broaden our horizons.
Your First Game
post=95437
Dunno if you guys here frown upon the console makers, but I just registered here from one of the console communities, and my first game was a 15-20 hour "epic" made with RPGM3. Not sure how epic that really is, but I did spend 200+ hours on it, maxxed out the data at 99%, and had 17 different endings, a minigame, branching story paths, and quite a few optional (and some hidden) side quests, depending on which guild you joined. Also had an alignment system.
Story was typical fantasy stuff...blah, blah. I tend to focus more on the technical details rather than the graphics (with RPGM3, that was easy...olol) and story is usually based on a broad framework, and filled in as I go along.
As I read in another topic here, and which I agree with, I tend to take a limited toolset (in this case, RPGM3, and hopefully soon IG Maker) and stretch the boundaries of what is possible using said toolset. Creatively, that's what keeps (kept) me going. Doing the unexpected given a set of tools.
Go ahead and add it. I have a list of games released so far in 2009, and a few RPGM1 and 2 games are already on it. Why not have some RPGM3 games on it as well?
The Rare/Obscure RM Games Request Topic
post=95155
Here's what I have that isn't on RMN, just a few games really. If anyone wants any of these uploaded, let me know.
Finding Forever Eden 4.0 and 9.0
What is the difference between these two? IIRC, Rowen made a (very) few changes.
Rainbow Nightmare (2 versions?)
Again, what is different with them.
Wilfred the Hero DBS Contest version
Now I'm really curious about this. Is it more or less complete than the original?
Worst Video Game Titles
post=9515112+? Really?
The SEGA logo made the rating agency unable to take the game seriously, or else they feel that teenagers should be able to deal with barely clothed women in video games (on the Nintendo DS, at that!)
What Makes Stereotypical jRPGs Terrible?
Well, FF2 (and yes, I mean FF2, not FF4) did have an okay-ish story, but was marred by an unbelievably unbalanced battling/leveling system. Levels didn't disappear, they changed to weapons and spells, as well as HP and MP. I could certainly see the FF2 of today having more fans, since they fixed things up a bit in the remakes.
I can't help but think we should have an FF2 topic in Game Discussion.
