The RMN Comic Collaboration - Act 2
The RMN Comic Collaboration!
For a coherent one you could just make each person in line have access to all pages ahead and continue the story in their own way. I did that in a Creative Writing class I took in high school actually. I find this one more interesting just seeing what information gets lost. It's like that game telephone except there is a record you can follow of how it started and where it ended.
How the Old man turned out was really funny to me. For anyone who didn't get the reference it's from the original Legend of Zelda:

post=147507The videos aren't even about the quality, it's about the humour.Well people have been saying it's "so bad it's good" so I guess you got what you wanted? But IMO comedy to me does not equal making everything horrible, anyone can do that. It's about timing and creativity. Imagine if your voice acting was actually good? I'm pretty sure your script or w/e would shine out more.Like the quote from above: "WAS ONLY TRYING TO SHARE VIDEO".
And yet you say everyone was watching it wrong way. I don't get it.
The writing is actually pretty competent. I'd wager he has a better handle on writing plausible dialogue than what the majority around here do - which is doubly bad considering English is apparently a second language for him. Most RM devs are heavily influenced by Japanese media, and tend to write dialogue as if it was translated from Japanese.
The voice acting is bad, but he did make a legitimate effort to do it well. I'd wager since he's completely aware he isn't Mel Blanc, the reason it has voice acting at all is simply to keep viewers from having to read a video.
If you guys are not going to give his stuff a fair shake, don't ride his ass pretending you're offering sage advice from your magic towers of ignorance. You guys are usually better than this.

RPG Maker XP movie
I watched all three parts all the way through and I liked it. It's like an episode of Scooby Doo, written by CollegeHumor.com (or possibly 4chan), and voice-acted by the original Resident Evil team. Ultimately being pretty funny. I liked the dude with the broken English, and the cat girl the best.

Well here is some random old stuff sitting on my FTP. I'll have to go through my unorganized mess of a hard-drive for more current stuff later.

Best VG Soundtracks + overrated
1. Mega Man 2
2. Super Metroid
3. Zelda LTTP Probably*
*I honestly could probably list at least 20 games for number 3, but the first two are definite.
Overrated: I don't know that they can really be overrated. I think most of the fondness for video game music is tied to personal memories associated with playing the game.

Booble's art stuff
Probably would only take two or 3 brushstrokes to fix the arm. I'm lazy about that stuff myself, but in this case I think it'd be worth fixing since it's really great piece otherwise. Has a watercolor quality to it.

Thanks for the compliments!
I got around to finishing it. Kinda uninspired background but oh well. =P Barring my usual laziness on fixing glaring issues - I'm happy with it. Learned quite a bit from it since crustacean exoskeleton's are kind of a clash between organic and hard surface modeling. Kind of weird considering it's such a cartoony character.
