Favorite RPG story and why?
I think the big boobs are great.
I guess I'll say something on topic... Final Fantasy Tactics. It is a story that involves human dynamics (political schism involving both nobles and clergy) and a bit of subtlety. I don't much go for super high-energy epics, though I know most people do.

ever think about 2nd and 3rd place prizes?
It's not much but I've already committed to rendering the 2nd place entry from phase 1 in my rig. Composition was great, deserves to be played with some more heavy duty samples. Not sure if phase 2 needs that same treatment as the entries were generally already rendered with high quality samples.

Thanks :) This is a really tough competition. A bunch of phase 2's entries could have easily been tracks in AAA titles.
I use EastWest Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold, as well as EW Symphonic Choirs. Gonna use Ministry of Rock as well for phase 3. Sadly, in order to use these VSTs, you not only have to buy the VST software, but a physical I-lok Key, a portable USB "key" that the VST software checks your registration code every time it's even used, much less mixed down.
They're pretty anal.

Beginner's Intimidation and High Standards
Eh. I haven't seen much in the realm of outright assholish criticism. I've seen plenty of inter-member animosity on the personal level, but very little in the way of someone just randomly being a jerk, just to be a jerk.
Besides, what goes around comes around. Freedom is a beautiful thing, and tends to solve many problems. People have the freedom to be a dick. That said, they're also free to suffer the consequences of their actions. These things do work themselves out eventually, and (usually) the frothing-at-the-mouth jerk gets beat out by more reasonable voices.
On rare occasions, jerks do get away with being jerks by establishing themselves as the town jerk. It's the internets, it happens. But that mostly applies to interpersonal animosity. It's been a loooong time since I've seen someone offer critique that would warrant some sort of moderator intervention.
