What's happening is that American Democrats, who will blindly defend Obama no matter what, are scrambling to find a logical justification for this. The same Democrats who, rightfully, vehemently opposed Bush's military interventionism.

The vast majority of Americans are opposed to this. Conservatives, Libertarians, Centrists, Right-leaning Liberals, all opposed. It seems only the most staunch and fanatical Democrats support this new Obama war.

Nobel Peace Prize means shit now.

Liberalism and Conservatism are political positions. Liberals in the U.S.A. are generally Democrats and Conservatives are generally Republicans.

Keep in mind not everyone subscribes to all of these positions, but the differences generally go like this.

Liberals want social equality, environmental protections, higher taxes on corporations and the rich, to expand welfare and social programs, for gay marriage, generally are for gun control, de-fund or slow down the expansion of the military, anti-torture, against the death penalty, want amnesty for illegal immigrants, and are pro-abortion.

Conservatives want decreased regulation on businesses, tax cuts for the rich, a simplified tax code, are anti-abortion, are against gay marriage, against gun-control, want to cut welfare programs, want to decrease the size of government, support "enhanced interrogation techniques" or torture, for the death penalty, against amnesty for illegal immigrants, and they want to expand the military.

That's cute. Here's an equally and oppositely biased point of view.

Liberals want revenge on white males, taxpayer-funded investments into failed solar energy firms, high taxes on everyone across the board, to expand welfare to increase their power base, want to punish legal gun owners and facilitate illegal gun owners, pretend to want to de-fund the military but actually end up being equally or more warlike than conservatives, want to grant special immigration privileges to future Democrat voters, and have no respect for life or family.

Conservatives want real competition and real free market, not corporatism or cronyism, tax cuts for the productive sector of society, yes, a simplified tax code, only the religious ones are anti-abortion and anti-gay, recognize the validity of the 2nd amendment, recognize that welfare programs often create more problems than they solve and do not celebrate when the amount of welfare recipients increases, want to decentralize the government, against granting of special immigration privileges to future Democrat voters, and these days, want less interventionism than Democrats.
