That's original work right? It looks pretty solid man. It's really busy, grimy, and saturated in ways that pixel art usually isn't.That's Star Ocean. The towns in that game seem to be a lot more grimy than everything else in the game. It works really well, actually.

Congratulations Chartley! A job well done on your part, your map was great. I wasn't expecting such a unique atmosphere with this limited tileset, but you did it.
I always seem to get second place in these. The last one at GW I was second, and now this. JKB and now Chartley are winners.
By the way, iamnot isn't mentioned? He seemed to have gotten lots of votes, but I guess you guys felt differently?
Also, I am angry with Karsuman.

I couldn't agree more. At first I thought you were only talking about how he advertises his game and all of the features. Nemesis doesn't have a real consistent style, but it doesn't really impact his game because he understands that and works with it. It's quite a concept.

Brandon, I don't quite understand you. Are you talking about how the way he portrays the game and his topics? I mean it's obvious Nemesis follows the rules of RPG Maker quite religiously, but I don't understand this fad. If the topic was cut down and Nemesis didn't re-release every year, would that not make it a stupid fad? What do the other RPG Makers(XP and VX. You said RM2K3 specifically so I'm calling you out. :P) do that doesn't make theirs a stupid fad? I do agree with you on everything, I'm just curious as to what you mean.

We've had this discussion with Sano before. Obviously his defense is that everything is large for a purpose, but come on now. One problem I see with the map is the white borders you seem to be using for the black areas. They would fit in much better if they were a dark gray. Right now they look like they're floating above the rest of the map. And the character set is too small. How many times have I said this, Sano? :(
That being said, this would look really nice once you fix up some of the issues.
Edit: Okay that's the problem with the walls. Everything looks blurred/anti-aliased while the white borders have a solid look to them.

Favorite Game
I really couldn't pick just one game. I would love to say almost every SNES RPG out there, but that would be far too many. Earthbound is a game that comes to mind, as well as Ocarina of Time. I don't have an absolute favorite, though.
Annoying Ruts
It's almost always music for me. Sometimes though, I just can't figure out what I want certain NPC's to say. I try not to make them so generic and pointless so it's hard sometimes finding things for them to say.
Also monster skills can sometimes be a little annoying as well.
