I feel like if your gam is inspired by Earthbound or Yume Nikki, you probably don't need to bother to say it, because the influence will be very obvious.
What's Yume Nikki / Earthbound?
It is the same game. Yume Nikki in Japan Earthbound in America/Europe. It's like a modern day Final Fantasy. Battles are bad, tho. More like Mystic Quest than regular Final Fantasy.
I'm bac... oh, nothing's changed. Nevermind.
I'm not a reader, but I want to learn to write for video games
Tarantino watched films a lot. Playing games with inspiring narratives can help you to get inspired (emergent narratives do count).
In my opinion you don't need to read a lot to be good at writing. It's important to get informed so you're not reinventing the wheel but sometimes knowing less is better as it can lead to something fresh. It's not always good when every other sentence is a reference. Try to write down your feelings, record a situation you see happening on the street, do whatever comes as natural to you. And you might find yourself becoming a reader suddenly, because of your newly found interest in improving your writing skills.

Tbh, Berlin's probably the cheapest place in Germany with many hostels, free galleries and cheap foodie options. On the other hand I always end up spending more than intended there because of that and because of the city having so much to offer.
I like smaller places, because it's easier to contain them in a short period of time. They're usually less touristy and easier to get around by foot or on bike too.

Mainz seems to have a nice bouldering hall.
As for the party, I think we should be able to enjoy ourselves in any city over 50k on Friday/Saturday night.
I might be able to visit my friends in Berlin in may/june to get some hot tips on hot spots.

So, it looks like 14th, 15th, 16th works the best for most most people so far. It should work for:
Shinan
YM
Never Silent
Jero
Kylaila
and me.
That's quite a participation. I think we can set the date in stone.
Also, I feel like leaving more space for suggesting places.
Popular suggestions so far are:
Berlin
London
Amsterdam
Unpopular suggestions:
Finland
Mainz
Prague
Monaco
My other suggestions
For me it would be an ideal getaway to Aachen.

author=ShinanWould Mainz do? It's like 20 km from Frankfurt airport.
Seems Finland is too far away in a remote corner of Europe :(
But both the Netherlands and Germany could be pretty nice. I also will admit I wouldn't mind visiting some (easy to access) smaller town in whatever country, if someone has some really fun local knowledge to share for the sightseeing.
And I mean smaller towns by other countries' standards are top5 biggest cities by Finnish standards anyway.

Complete Fan JRPGs to recommend?
There's no fangame tag but you can use name bracket to fill name of the franchise.
There are also many games which inspire themselves in everything but name and shared universe. Dragon Fantasy/Chronicles of Tsufanubra/Venaitura by Ephiam would be one example of this trend.

What are you jamming to?
New Hinds! I'm getting into it. Plus the album cover is very attractive. Also, it's interesting to think about the composition and how you move your eyes around.
Another great album cover and a new song from Empress of. Digging her as usual. There's something very Blood Orange about it too. I guess Devonte might have produced the album.
