Dracula X Mafia (GAME OVER - MAFIA VICTORY) [MAFIA]
All of it?
You can still claim your power. I want to make powers thematic, so you should be able to guess flavour based on powers sometimes.
Making flavour alignment indicative doesn't quite work in this case. Keeping it hidden from players is possible, but knowing it makes some powers easier to grasp.

Mafia Championship 2020
Hey,
It's that time of the year again and over at MU, everyone's getting hyped about this year's season of Mafia Championship. We played several games last year and that makes us eligible again.
I say we should send out someone to represent the gammak. Our rep should have a backup in case they get busy or something.
Here's the official invitation letter:
Any unanswered questions can be answered by me or here.
Who will we send out?
I would suggest either Jero or Piano. They are both capable of posting a lot and good analytical players.
If there's no one else willing to go, I have over 10 thousand posts and tens of games behind my belt at MU. I know quite a few players and site's meta too.

INVITATION TO THE MAFIA CHAMPIONSHIP (SEASON 7)
Ahoy there! :)
I’m very excited to invite your community to participate in Season 7 of the Mafia Championship.
The Mafia Championship is an annual forum-based tournament series that pits representatives from various online Mafia (aka Werewolf) communities against one another as they compete to determine the Internet’s greatest forum Mafia player. Each participating community democratically elects one person to represent them and be their “Champion”.
The tournament first started back in 2013. Since then, 320+ different communities and 50+ different nationalities have been represented.
It’s a super fun event that has created many new friendships and close bonds between communities. I hope that you would be interested in taking part :)
1. DO YOU ACCEPT THE INVITATION?
If your community wishes to participate, please confirm your participation to Lissa as soon as you can to ensure yourselves a spot. Currently, the plan is to accommodate 150 communities this season. If there is further interest, additional communities may sign up as substitutes; generally there are some replacements needed both before and during games.
If your community agrees to participate, the deadline for selecting your representative is April 27, but the sooner the better.
The games will take place on Mafia Universe. If it’s okay, I can link directly to the general discussion thread regarding this topic on Mafia Universe.
Important notes
You may decide yourselves how you want to elect your representative, but we highly recommend some sort of democratic process (public nominations followed by a poll usually works out well).
In addition to electing a representative, you should also name an alternate who will be asked to step in if the first choice needs to back out.Your representative should be prepared for having to read upwards of 500-600 posts per 24 hours during the early stages of the game. Additionally, there’s a requirement that each player must make at least 10 posts per Game Day. Only active players should apply/participate. I repeat: Your chosen player needs to be able to promise a good amount of activity on a daily basis.
2. SEASON 7 FORMAT
The tournament structure
150 communities will participate, each sending one representative.
QUALIFIERS: 10 Qualifier Games will be played, consisting of 15 players each. I.e. every representative plays in one Qualifier Game. The players themselves vote post-game to determine who is deserving of advancement. 1st and 2nd place will advance to the Semifinal Games.
SEMIFINALS: A Jury consisting of finalists from Season 6 will select 25 additional players to advance to the three Semifinal Games. From each game, five players will advance to the Finale Game based on a post-game player vote, just like in the qualifying phase.
THE FINALE: The Finale Game is played. Once it has completed, the players vote to determine who shall receive the title of Season 7 Champion and a winner’s certificate signed by Dmitry Davidoff, the creator of mafia.
This year’s setup: JOAT^2
The setup is called JOAT^2 and features 15 players.
The setup consists of the following:
3x Mafia Goon
2x Town Jack Of All Trades (9x Doctor, 9x Motion Detector, 9x Tracker)
10x Vanilla Townie
Note that the Jacks Of All Trades must use all three actions before repeating an action, i.e. they are rotating. This does not mean they must use the actions in the same order every time.
Relevant mechanics info
- Day start.
- Majority lynch is enabled Day 2+, but majority is not required at any point in order to lynch.
- Tied votes will result in a player being lynched at random from among the tied players.
- No outside communication. I.e. you may not contact the other players outside of the thread (unless you are Mafia and wish to speak with your teammates).
- Phase Lengths and Deadlines will be up to the players themselves (I’ll organize your representative into a game with deadlines that suit their preferences).
- Thread is locked during Night Phases.
- Votes are automatically locked in at LYLO.
- Mafia factional kills are assigned. They can be tracked, watched, roleblocked, etc. (In this setup, that means they display as an action to the Tracker and the Motion Detector actions.)
- Mafia share a factional Night Kill, which is a single standard shot for their faction. The mafia faction kill is mandatory.
- Mafia may communicate at any time.
- Each individual player may make a maximum of 150 posts per day phase (this restriction is lifted 2 hours before day end).
- The game will have a host to oversee everything and make sure everyone’s following the code of conduct, but otherwise the game is completely automated (automatic votecounts, thread locks and reveals roles automatically, the bot receives and processes actions, etc.).
3. SEASON 7 TIMELINE
There will be 10 Qualifier Games, and your representative plays in just one of these. They will have start dates ranging from late April to mid-June. So in other words, as long as your representative can play sometime during that period, they should be good and I’ll make sure they get scheduled into a game that suits their schedule well. I.e. if your rep is busy until June, that isn’t a problem.
The Semifinal Games will be played in July, and the Finale Game sometime in August/September (whenever we can work out something that suits everyone).
If you want to get in contact with me ASAP, you can find me on Discord (Lissa#8083).
Kind regards,
Lissa

Dracula X Mafia (GAME OVER - MAFIA VICTORY) [MAFIA]
Ok, I added some info and basic flavour. Let me know if you have a preferred sod/eod times. I think that with us using hammer to end day, we're less dependent on being around.

Villnoire Review
It was nice to read a new batch of your reviews, Addict.
I enjoy your points, which are well articulated, and recommendation like this always makes me even more hyped about a game.

2020 gaming diary
April::..
1. Gothic
I discovered that before giving away my dvds from gaming mags, I installed Gothic and Gothic 2 on my computer. I really dig the fiction and the worldbuilding but the game is slow and you can see the time sink from ten miles away. I spent some five hours with it so far and lost at least two hours of progress as the game is hardcore without autosaves.
I finally got myself a new phone and I have 4G internet now, so I can work on school projects again.
2. Porklite
It's a neat little retro rogue, you can play in your browser. I think it's really polished and a great example of well scoped project. I tried few runs before rage quiting, but the game certainly is a good one if you're in hardcore dying.

Also, I continued with Gothic and now I'm some twenty hours in. I'm finally stronger, I'm engaged, but there are also things, which make me feel like I'm wasting my time with the game. And it is the case as I'm supposed to have my thesis almost finished and I haven't written a single line in last two weeks.
3. Forward
Today, I suddenly got in mood for card driven games. I played some Star Realms on my phone and several browser games on itch.io.
Forward is an interesting little almost rpg. You have a character, collect items and move forward. In front of you, there are always three cards and you can choose your path. Monsters take from your health, potions replenish it and so on. It's quite an addictive affair with nice presentation. I recommend trying it out if you feel out of ideas too as it made my mind racing.

4. The Snake Mother
This isn't a card game but a beautiful choose your own adventure bitsy game with great lore. The story is dripping with atmosphere and I was thrilled for the whole duration of this micro game. It was partly thanks to great music too.
Play it here.

5. Patient Rogue
Another card driven roguelike. This one's really cool, addictive and has cool graphics. Overall it's a super polished package and I can see myself playing some more. It's also very difficult and little frustrating due to randomness. You die of hunger way too often. And if you happen to come across a sufficient amount of food, you end up being out of weapons. The game presents some really cool idea, which I might prefer in this rough and simplistic form over something more sophisticated (and better designed in terms of fairness). Try it out.

6. Mondar's Dungeon
Mondar's Dungeon is another beautiful permadeath with very pretty art, but the gameplay is too frustrating and not us fun as Patient Rogue. It's even more board gamey and more random and you usually die super fast because of its unfair mechanics.

7. Heartscape
A Ludum Dare entry is mere one level of a possible future puzzler combined with deck building. I love the presentation, which reminds me of Princess Remedy, music is banging and mechanics tight. I hope to see more of this game soon.

8. Tiny Islands
A digital version of flip and writes is fun and rules of this game definitely more digestible in a digital form (counting all of these points would kill me in a physical game). Also, daily runs add it a lot. It's a cool concept, but i got bored rather quickly as it's probably better played with competition.

9. Dragoon Drop
The game's a turned based platformer, where you use a deck of cards for movement and attacks. Yes, you need to lick the right card to attack and sometimes it takes a while. Definitely a brain burner but a great idea.I think that the deckbuilding could work better or offer either more interesting or more defined variety of commands (on one hand I like the simplicity of cards in Dragoon Drop, on the other most commands aren't satisfying. I think your hand could be way tighter). I dig the retro look, feel and sound of the game. Drag and drop on the other doesn't feel quite smooth as I would like it to be. Burning cards is boring, I'd try to add little more to it.
Anyway, this design has a lot of potential.

10. Star Realms
A simple card deckbuilder in its digital form. The campaign is very challenging and I can't keep myself from trying again.
11. Card City Nights
In this game you collect cards and battle citizens of card city. The game's extremely charming with characters from other Ludosity games such as Ittle Dew and Muri and many older smaller games. The core gameplay is addicting and fun but the real gem are lines of dialogue. The story itself is light but you can talk with every character multiple time and they usually have more than ten things to say. There's so much flavour to this. The jazzy soundtrack definitely adds to overall positive vibe.
