KITTEN2021'S PROFILE
It has been a very long time since I have been on this website or hosted any games on it. Last message I left was sometime back in 2011, so obviously I have been on a lengthy hiatus. I apologize, but I am aiming to begin fresh and new with nothing tying me down or back due to what I previously had so all my previous games have been deleted from the site.
I will leave nothing on this website, except for very small things - updates every great once in a blue moon, etc. - and make no promises to anyone.
Please refer to the game titled Eriscadia for any further information.

Font Effects: Overlay Not Working Right
OK, this question kind of goes with this post:
http://rpgmaker.net/forums/topics/8591/
I took the advice of everyone there and figured I would put my Photoshopping fears behind me and actually try to make a nifty title myself. Here is what I have so far (the image is too large, so the link is below):
http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/4763/locker/MyTitleTest_001.png
My problem that I'm stuck at so far is the overlaying for the font; I'm following a tutorial, but the guy that made the tutorial did a relatively bad job of explaining it. He assumes that everyone reading it already understands how to fully use Photoshop, he didn't think about the n00bs using it, so its really confusing. Can someone explain how to get just the font to be effected by an overlay layer? Every time I add one it effects the entire image and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong.

[RM2k3] Insufficient memory to create stream
OK, played the game, got to the first save spot in the forest right before the first demon gate, music disappeared. Played all the way to the point until I got the female druid, got to the world map then BAM! received the error.
Took a screen shot to show you what my Windows Task Manager showed under the Processing tab:
http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/users/4763/locker/Kentona_RunelordsMemoryError.png
The sudden drop off is where the game crashed and stopped running; everything else behind it though is from it playing. The game didn't have that much memory usage until I got to the forest area, then the memory usage really started to sky rocket for me.

...probably in the music system.
Are you using any audio patch? Like Disharmony, Audieremony or Power Mode 2003 (which includes FMODex)?
author=Radnen
If the memory is climbing or isn't deallocating correctly when songs change, then you've got the issue.
Is runelords downloadable with all the charsets, chipsets, music files, sound efx, et cetera? I betting its a music or sound fx thats causing the issue, from what everyone else is poitning towards also. If it is, and the game crashes during a specific song playing or when a specific song is supposed to face in, then I can manually go into the music folder and test those specific songs themselves. (Just an idea, mind you)
EDIT:
Oh, and the audio patch thing is a good idea... Might be causing an issue with one of the audio files or multiple audio files.

Questions for you, Kentona, did you check the music files and seen if maybe its the music causing it? Or maybe seen if its a specific event that's being used multiple times through-out the game? This also happens in Runelords, right? Is there music/charsets/chipsets that your using there that matches what was used in Hero's Realm?
Sorry if these sound like repetitive questions to you, but just trying to see if the problem could be weeded out (so's to speak). BTW, will install Runelords tonight to play and try to figure out where it happens and try to get a screen-cap of the error for you. :)

Title Screen Title Name Questions

Usually someone has made a tutorial kind of what I want to do!
See, I've tried that, but I'm not sure how to word the effect I'm wanting on the fonts. I guess I could try just doing a google for Photoshop Font Effects or something like that...
Thanks for the link, btw, that site had some pretty good stuff.
Title Screen Title Name Questions
I'm definitely going to look into those fonts and also going to try and find out what this Raster Layer thing is myself, thanks for that information.
If your wanting me to state a specific color/image/theme, then, the color could be something somber or something - because these people are thrown into a life of trouble and constant hardship in my game without them even attempting to have it happen. The image, maybe something that reflects a large fantasy city or even something that can get the feeling of mystery across, and as for theme... Did I explain that enough in the previous information? Basically its a large fantasy/mystery; so something that's mysterious or something... Again, please feel free to do as you please though, I got confused and thought that this is the information you wanted, but if it wasn't, then ignore this. :)
author=SayaWould it be OK if I accepted this offer? I'm not really picky about it, you can see what I'm currently using (which is proof that I'm not picky), anything you make would be just fine. ^.^
If you're not so picky, you can just request me to do a title for you with a specific font, color/image/theme, because I'd be happy to help you out.

Title Screen Title Name Questions
I've been wondering, how are people making such really nice title names on their title screens? Example for you is:
RE:Alistair++
Skyhelm Prophecies: The Rise of Shadows
(http://rpgmaker.net/media/content/games/3082/screenshots/Logo_para_o_RPGMAKER_NET.png)
Adela Isra: The Butterfly Paradox
(http://rpgmaker.net/games/1599/)
Anyway, these are just very few games that came to mind immediately, there are tons more out there that people are doing this. Can someone please explain to me how to do this? I know it cannot be just simply using a particular font, I've been out and looking for (honestly) at least 3 - 4 hours straight, using different font sites and even utilizing google and bing search engines, but I still cannot find any fonts that are nice and unique such as these. I have re-created my title screen in attempts to make this new font, but I have had no luck...
Thanks a lot, I know this is probably a tall request to be making, or a silly one, either way - Thank you in advance.
(Mind you I only have Photoshop Elements - which does not have the same thing as the other Photoshop programs I have learned...)

You should do as my buddy there suggested and throw up an update image. It looks nice, I like those tiles.
This map has actually been placed on the back burner for the time being; I should prolly pulled the image off of here... But, I left it up to remind myself to make sure and incorporate this into the game here soon.

Also, those round plants, just the way the light hits them makes it look bad for a cave wall. (Although I'm not sure where they're intended, I use them for rootops, usually.
Yeah, I haven't really found a definable use for them myself yet; to me they look like their hanging downwards, so I've been using them for wall decor and stuff. But yea, the way the light hits them, I suppose they should be save for outside walls only. Thanks for that tip!
Town_Erinna_FencesOrNo.png
I was thinking about the middle building and the building in the top right (the burnt house) having fences - they are/were considered the wealthiest technically.
The burnt houses fence would be slightly destroyed - obviously due to the fire - while the mayors building would be in perfect condition.
How does this sound? (Oh, and the grave site kind of needs to stay with fences; it just feels wrong not having that separated from a town... Sickening too, if you ask me.) :/
