RMN doesn't need to be absorbed by some other website with a history of sucking like Gaming World.
What it needs is to either A) stay open right where it is or B) get itself hosted by me. We all agree that we don't want it going anywhere.
Well that's just not fair to say since GW used to be fantastic back in the day. But yeah, it was pretty bad for the past little while leading up to the change to Salt World. Now it's just some barely alive site with an awful name.
I do agree that RMN should not go anywhere though. That was a pretty bad proposal.

Well somebody volunteer. I hate to say this but should we ally with our "enemy" to keep this going? After all GW/SW is still afloat- maybe we can hitch on to them.
RMN is soon to be deceased within a month. Salt World is not deceased and is supposedly going to eventually become something grand according to Drule.
RMN is more active by a significant margin despite being placed on it's death bed by WIP.
Joining up with Salt World, nothing against the place, would just be adding to it's stagnant community that, really, isn't going to go anywhere ever again. It makes a lot more sense to hold out and hope that WIP does indeed keep RMN alive.

Well this is unfortunate. I thought this site had a lot of potential and it was a nice breath of fresh air. Just deleting it instead of passing it on is a waste of your past years you devoted into it, in my opinion.
If WIP doesn't want to continue with this site, he should do what Bart did at Gaming World. Just pass it off to someone who is competent.
Er... Aim for a little more competence in someone than Bart did, though.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I'm trying out Rift, that new MMORPG. It's a lot like WoW, only everything in Rift is better except the music (which is oddly shitty).
where will you be going when rmn shuts down?
At the moment, I don't think that I'll be going anywhere else. I'll probably just fade away from the RPG Maker scene and lurk on WordPress blogs unless WIP changes his mind about everything.

I don't really have anything to add that hasn't already been said.
It's odd, though, that a site that is still very much beloved by it's members is apparently being forced to close it's doors by you, WIP, just because you're unhappy about how people here have behaved.
The site is fantastic and many of the members are wonderful people. Just cull the bad and keep the good. There's really no need to be drastic.
