I love the lighting that you've got going on here.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Ha, it's already taken me a few years! I started this beast in 2004. I dropped it many times since then (sometimes for up to a year). I'm much more efficient in RPG Maker these days, so I can finish things that used to take ages in about a fraction of the time.

Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy

Thanks!

And yeah, I'm intent on finishing this thing now. I haven't finished any kind of RPG Maker game since 2002 or 2003. After this, I want to move to Game Maker or something because I still haven't been able to make a platformer, which is something I've always wanted to even more than make an RPG.

I'm aiming to finish Blackmoon Prophecy "sometime" this year. I just have no idea when.

...But in Blackjack the cards only go to 11(Or is it 13? I think the J/Q/K's only count as 10?). :s

Yes, in real Blackjack. I'm messing with the rules and such to make it feel less like the "same ol' Blackjack" that we've all played a hundred times over.

The player (and AI) will be able to draw three cards maximum. The amount of gold that the player can win will be 50 multiplied by the total sum of the cards they've played. If the player wins, the last card they played will give them a special bonus item to go along with the gold that they've won.

Example... If they win with the #18 cactuar card, they'll get a cactus. If they win with the #7 bomb card, they'll get a bomb fragment. Those items are just examples and won't be the actual rewards for winning with those cards.

I'll probably name the minigame something unique as well to fit the game's universe. "Hit" will probably become "Attack" and "Stand" will be "Defend."

A windowskin I made a while ago.

I bet that would work well in a Mario fangame or just anything about as lighthearted.

Hello, everybody!

Welcome! Good to have you aboard.

Ah! So that's why the name sounded familiar!

At first glance, it's hard to tell what is going on because of the palette that you guys are using, but after a few moments I find my eyes adjusting. There's probably no issue at all when playing, and I can't wait until you guys finish this. Looks fun!

I love the size and structure of the world map, this is absolutely amazing. How did/have you approached the location placement on the map, keeping in mind these places are from Final Fantasy?

Haha, I just winged the world map as I went. I've always had the story plotted out so I know what locations come next... But how close they are in proximity to the player's present location and such is always thought up at the last minute. The world map is basically "design it as I go" while keeping in mind what has to happen next in the story.
