Is it weird that I made a battle background that is based on my MegaLord's body? Because that's what I just did :)

So Megalord having 8 eyes and all made me think of a particular mask type that also sometimes has 8 eyes.
Anyway my take on MegaLord's face takes a bit of influence from a Grebo War Mask the Grebo/Kru live in the African countries of Liberia and Côte d’Ivoire.
I also see a bit of a childhood character of my own in the design of its arms :)

I like the new sprites, the idea you had to make Wiggleyarm goopy is a nice touch.
Sunmagic's dazed look adds some cool personality. It looks like he has more power than he can handle.
And the idea that Robit appears to be malfunctioning from cut wires is a neat addition as well.

Fantastic use of color and I wanna say the chiaroscuro effect. If its not chiaroscuro its certainly similar. Maybe I just wanted to use a fancy art word :3

@Riderx40 - Those sprites are amazing! And congrats on being the first person to render all the characters. I love that you re-imagined Robit as a plant creature. Sun Magic is looking very majestic in his robes. MegaLord sunken head in his chest looks very menacing. Spikey and Monstery are very creepy. All of them are great!
@Unity - Your Browng is easily my favorite version of the character so far.
@Muffle - That image got me hungry so I ate some potatoes. I like how you integrated the character bio into the art. Good thinking!

Since I'm also a video maker now, I was thinking about making a video about this event. And instead of just featuring my art. I figured I'd feature the art made by others here as well in the video and of course showing there names next to their work.
I figure it should be fine since all these images are intended to be free to use in games. And since some games on this site wind-up having Youtube Letsplays, chances are some of these artworks would appear in a youtube video eventually anyway.
Point is I don't want the video just to be about my stuff I want the whole event experience to be in the video. Hope everyone is cool with that.
PS. When I show others art it will be a simple dislay with some chill videogame-esq music in the background. The only commentary I will give about said art is that they are all fantastic designs. Also I probably won't show everything since I gotta give viewers a reason to check out RMN but also because I want to post the video before the event ends so that a viewer if they want could join in on the RMN event.

Yume Nikki just released on steam, along with a countdown
I think if I were ever to make a game like Yume Nikki, I'd want to focus on the weirdness and not so much scary stuff. Though I suppose weird stuff often comes across as scary regardless. I probably would want to add more gameplay mechanics though since I do tend to like creating game mechanics.
I never actually played Yume Nikki but I watched lets plays of it. Certainly an interesting experience.
