Did any of you play Unlimited SaGa? I liked the "board game-inspired setup," but it was a big problem for most players. Were there any development considerations relating to other board game-like video games, including Unlimited SaGa?
I never played Unlimited Saga so that was interesting to hear. I never did any board game inspired setup research. The gameplay I had for the maps was based on my canned game, Dimension Rift, Riviera: The Promised Land and partly Neoku's At the End of the Deep Blue Sky. I wasn't really able to make use of the system before so I thought why not use here. It's only inspired and doesn't really follow dice rolls to be honest.
Hilariously enough, I later saw that gameplay vid, said to myself 'Oh, that's a good idea!', and snipped it for my references folder XD

I dunno, if you wanna go pixelated then you should actually make a low-res game, and simply use fullscreen++ or something like that to adjust the actual window size. So it feels solid and coherent instead of WHY IS THIS FOG SLIDING ONE PIXEL AT A TIME

Beat it. Not too fond of Asteroid-style controls but it does feel very appropriate here. Can't comment on much since it looks like a lot of the game's systems still needs to be implemented. guess the only thing I'll say is please not too many fetch quests.
