I love RPG's. If an RPG was released in Australia, chances are I have played it. (Unfortunately that means I missed out on lots of good titles that were never released in Aus...)

I'm a web designer/developer and have enjoyed making Pirate Rush in RPGMaker VX Ace in my spare time. I like to make others happy and I'm hoping that the games I create will bring happiness and enjoyment to others.

I have been thinking about a HUD - it's a good idea. I did want to keep things as clean as possible with nothing blocking the screen but I'll add an optional HUD the player can turn on/off so they can choose which they'd prefer.

Thanks for your input, it's very helpful to hear other's thoughts and I really appreciate it :)

It might not be controlled with a mouse but it is still a cursor. The idea is so the player can quickly see what they have currently selected in the menu (the movement is to draw the player's eye to it when in menus).

Perhaps watching a video gives different thought as you aren't actually behind the controls. But I shall keep that in mind to ask other's thoughts during testing.
