I agree they look atrocious... they are the RTP clouds, because somehow in the thousands of graphics I have accumulated over the years I dont have any good clouds. Heh.
As for the atmosphere, I am trying to meet FF2(4) and a more modern (2D) game halfway. And I like detail in things. Its kinda my thing. But one of the reasons I chose the FF2(4) style is because I would rather deal with 16X16 and not the 24x32 graphics all the time. But making them 'pretty' and 'atmospheric' while mapmaking should be a challenge. But I'm going to do my best.

Im thinking about removing some of the red from his outfit. I want to edit most my graphics so its not all just ripped stuff thrown in without a care. If I had any graphic making skill, I'd create it all myself, but I cant get pixel art down at all. Im just goot at editing. Copy here, paste there, stretch here, steal a soul there...oh whoops. Did I say that out loud?

Hm its supposed to be bigger than the rest, kind of like a mighty oak, but Ill tone it down a bit, while still leaving it larger than the others.
