Since the "guys my game hasn't shown up yet!" topics are pretty common, I think it'd be a good idea to add something to the form (probably right before the submit button) giving them an idea of how long they'll have to wait and why.

Something like "Our game pages are hand checked by human volunteers, so it can take up to a week or more for a page to be approved. Thank you for your patience!"

It'd presumably cut down on stress for the submitters as well. And we could make fun of people who clearly didn't read the form :V

I really like this idea! It's so simple, yet (should be) efficient!

True, Sooz makes a very good point, I rememebr waiting anxiosly for my first game to be accepted and that wait was very tormenting for me because I had no idea on how long it could take.

Yeah like if I did not already know about the wait, I'd be two inches from the monitor, glaring intensely, hammering the F5 key.

Instead of checking in every hour or so JUST IN CASE.

WHY ISNT THIS GETTING MORE ATTENTION PEOPLE
To be fair we do have links to threads that actually say this stuff when you go to create a game page. I'd be happy to add a line there in addition but I think it needs to be done on the code-side of things (aka, I literally can't). I'll ask anky about it though. It's not a hard fix.

Yeah, it shouldn’t be that hard to implement; all you need to do is either put a line just before the information header or at the bottom of the page just before the submit button. Something along the lines like:

Please remember that some game submissions can take anywhere from a day to a week in order to be accepted for approval by the staff. Please be patience throughout this time. If it takes longer than a week to approve your game, please contact one of the admins.

But I like really do like this idea. Anything to cut down on all those “It’s been more than ten whole minutes now. WHERE THE F**K IS MY GAME!?” threads.

Yeah, having it hidden in links isn't that helpful; it's easy to skim over or just miss entirely. :/
Alright, added now.

"It can take up to a week for a game to go through the submission queue. Please be patient and double check the rules of the submission queue in order to make sure there's minimum fuss when it comes to checking your game."

Who says we don't make updates? :D

It's okay, YM and anky dealt with it so it's 100% me proof!
I vote that we make libby monitor the queue once every 3 hours forever.

Now watch, as she goes up to two weeks to check the queue.
Never! For both points.
