daybreak sky lights up the grid we live in
dizzy when we talk so fast
fields of numbers streamin' past

What are you thinking about right now?

to a lot of people it ain't anymore, because behaviour like that made them leave

What are you thinking about right now?

I don't care. a lot of you act utterly ridiculous about this subject and I'd like to make this known while I have the opportunity.

e: like. you act like you're moving on now, but if this is just gonna happen again in three weeks then what's the point? I need to know you're actually letting go.

It's actually hilarious how so many people don't seem to be able to tell the difference between someone disliking a game because they think it's bad and someone disliking a game because it's popular.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

it's tough when they keep banging on about the deservedness of its coverage and so on

it's tougher still when it's three years later, the dev has moved on to better things, and they're still waging a crusade against its existence

bad games can exist. bad games are valuable in their own way. with criticism, the questions of what there is to gain, who you're addressing it to, and what you mean to accomplish are fundamental. if you can't answer any of these to your satisfaction, then it might not be necessary to write a screed about a silly little joke game made for fun.

that's honestly not bad advice? push your range, get a feel for what you can do with your voice and play it back so you know how it sounds. I'm not an expert or anything, but that's generally considered decent practice -- for anything more refined than that, there are fairly large and supportive voice acting communities that might be able to offer specifics.

Wow, the official RPG Maker site forum rules are..... wow!

I've generally felt that the moderation team were a fairly transparent and hardworking bunch -- and I'm saying that as someone who was eventually permabanned. regardless of disagreements, you could generally count on them to fact-check themselves and redress mistakes.

I wouldn't have ever said that at the time because I was a hellion, but hey

the continued focus some members have (years later) on the 'deservedness' of literally the most capricious and random type of exposure reflects horribly on them, and they need to pick a better white whale

'stormblood' is a silly title

no. Godbert knows the path he walked to become the man he is, and is loath to interfere.

Jittery when hungry?

my point is that you're answering a question different from the one this situation is asking

Jittery when hungry?

there are plenty of people in western countries who are undernourished and not getting enough carbs what are you talking about

she's proposing carbs as an important supplement when someone is already hungry, because that energy will last as opposed to sugars

proposing a low-carb diet to someone who's already eating regularly and eating enough is one thing but if someone isn't eating enough that's an irresponsible thing to say. we're not talking weight loss techniques here, we're talking basic health

'stormblood' is a silly title

ahaha during the lore panel Koji Fox namedropped a book I own as something that's been critical to his worldbuilding??? neat

it's called Giants, Monsters, and Dragons: An Encyclopedia of Folklore Legend and Myth and it's very, very good

at least, it contains A Bao A Qu, which is basically my yardstick for how thorough a bestiary is. A Bao A Qu being a very obscure (and possibly fake) monster first recorded by Jorge Luis Borges in his Book of Imaginary Beings, with various theories about the actual folklore (and possible mistranslations) that might have led to its introduction
