I got VX Ace from a friend during the Steam sale and I'm busy... porting something into it. While bashing my head against the scripting system because I can't get half the things designed for four party members to work for three party members. And also reserve members suck because they mess all the things up.

That's why you talk to EVERY NPC and like, I dunno, remember or write down what directions they tell you? I literally haven't had any problems finding things personally. :\

Wild Arms 3! ... including walking around in circles for four hours so I could get like... 150 Dragon Fossils and three Baselards. I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH BREAKING GAMES i'm sorry. ;w;

That's... actually a really hard question, wow!
The earliest DATED memory I have of being in the RPG Maker community was back on this one website... It had kind of a fantasy theme, big resource section using drop-downs... I WISH I could remember the name of it (though I remember one of the members being named "Kaempfer" and him having a Dr. Light avatar). Anyways, the first post I remember, though I REALLY doubt it was my first post was of me and a date during my freshman Homecoming, which would've been Fall 2004. Doing the math, that would mean I've been in the community for almost nine years.
Really it feels like it's been MUCH longer but... actually it might've been... I kinda remember first tinkering with RM2k/3 during some winter months (because it was snowing), so that was probably the year before - 2003. Really, it's stupid hard to remember for whatever reason because it's just been so long.

Because of ease of use and also due to the new life it's been given by DynRPG, RM2k/3 will definitely live for a while longer. (that and I've got like 3-4 games I'm working on with it...)
Also, I dunno what Windows 8 you people are using, but RM2k/3 games work FINE for me in Windows 8. And no, I'm not even using Compatibility Settings, which pretty much lets ANY PROGRAM regardless of age work with the OS. :P

Does anyone remember the N64 Kid? Don't really feel like linking it because it made ME feel a little uncomfortable myself, but it's a similar reaction. I've had plenty of "nerdgasms" as they're called, but I don't like... jump and scream. I've squee'd plenty of times! Like when Sega announced Project Diva F for the West (I squee'd and flailed my arms and all sorts of things). But like... yeah, it's really the same thing as sports fans or movie fans or what-not. You feel strongly enough about something, your body physically reacts in a way that allows you to have emotional release.
