Regardless of the ire this game has accumulated, the fact that it has 4500 downloads means it's doing something right. You could really debate all day over why you think this game is/isn't good, but maybe the better thing to ask is what qualities in it have convinced so many people to download it?
Would anybody be adventurous enough to do an LP of this game or at least the first several hours?
They apparently would have to play for around 20 hours before it got good...
I will say this, however, Magi has a good point. I just can't see someone clicking the download button that many times to try and gain attention for their own game. If this seriously happened... really, all the power to them. I know I don't have the time nor care do to so for mine.

Have you considered cutting out the first 20 hours of the game and just giving us the highlights (if there are any)?
I agree wholeheartedly. If this game is really as long as the author says it is, why not at least release an abridged version? It's at least an idea. I don't want to discourage him from improving what he already has, but if only around 20 ppl of over 4000 have completed the game... it may be the best way to go.

2. Write a review for your own game, register on a computer that isn't your own, post it.
3. Tell a friend you'll buy them a two-four if they write a glowing review for your game, even though they've never played it.
4. Register for multiple accounts and post reviews from them. This will lead to being banned when you are found out, and therefore, is not highly recommended.
5. You could also register for multiple accounts and change your IP every time you log in? Not quite sure how that works, but also not recommended.

I don't get to read all of the blogs here due to time constraints, but I like to see what's in development from time to time. This is a great idea, and very well summed up. The best part about it is the way you've divided it up into obvious, not so obvious, and releases.

Great Purge II

I would ask that you please not erase my games. Here are my reasons:
-I'm relatively new to the maker world and actively trying to improve.
-I have a feeling that some people took some of the jokes literally and were offended, but I did my best to explain how not serious they are.
-It has a small following, but it's there. Many have been afraid of a backlash for voicing their interest in the games, which is why all the game page comments are negative. I've actually had some emails telling me that some found it hilarious.
-Also there have been a few to attack me and my games, so I'm pretty sure I know where those complaints are coming from.
-I'm actively working on my projects, which is a hell of a lot more than I can say about a lot of people here who abandon their shit but get to keep their games here.
And Feld, it's no secret that we've had our personal disagreements on Legendary Legend, so there's a matter of a personal bias there on your part methinks.
