Looking for a Programmer for a CoC-like XXX Fantasy RPG

Hi, I’m m0RV.

I’m looking for a competent programmer for a passion project. The game I’ve envisioned is something like Corruption of Champions, but aesthetically prettier, something that’s sure to provide the world with weeks of hard orgasms.

I wanna make a game based on a world I made.

Deep Red is a series of adventure-erotica novels based on Voln, a pseudo-medieval world infused with supernatural horror and retrofuturism. Big sentence, I know. Basically, it means it’s a fantasy world with sex, monsters, and some weird technology. Here, I plan to create a haven for sexual expression.

What I Expect from a Candidate / Potential Partner

· A working knowledge of browser-based games
· Familiarity with CoC, and the ability to recreate it from scratch - OR - an advanced understanding of an existing free-to-use game engine like RPG Maker VX Ace.
· An advanced understanding of GUI and its implementation
· A mod-friendly work ethic, including the leaving of notations every few lines of code
· A free schedule (or free enough for a couple hours a day or two days a week)
· An understanding of how to use Unicode characters in descriptors (I only list this here because it’s pivotal to the lore)

Bonuses

· A love of hentai
· A boundless imagination

Please note: this is a passion project first and foremost. It is for someone who really wants to invest in their future but who loves their work and would happily do it for free, like me. My Role

I’m the head writer and the project lead, but I intend to delegate all programming responsibilities to the qualified interested party, at which time monetary understanding will be reached, privately.

Combat mockup
Combat should feel instinctive and should be available for one-handed play, either right or left according to a couple of presets.



Sex mockup
The sexual tone of the game is a power fantasy, but each encounter has a different feel, from sensual and consensual to desperate and selfish. The player should be able to pursue intimacy that suits their preferences.



Travel mockup
Either the map or the icon should remain stationary, changing animations or scrolling in the appropriate direction.


I have a wide range of sexual interests, certainly enough to keep it fresh for the player. (See the link below to learn more.)


And Voln is a world with plenty of room to grow. So if you’d like a creative presence, whether that means involving your own characters or anything else, let me know.

Big chunks of the creative writing are already done. I just need some programming and GUI help. I’ll be commissioning whatever art I can’t make myself along the way.

Well, personally, I have no interest in the project. I'm not into hentai (at least not the kind you're looking to make, and even if I were, I have no desire to make porn).

But if I were interested in the project, I'd want to know is, since you clearly have an established idea of what the game should be:

Do you have an established outline covering gameplay, mechanics, and story?


Do you have sufficient game design knowledge to make a game (not this game, A (SINGULAR) game) without help? (with RPG Maker engines, you technically need no programming skills...it's not advisable, but it can be done)

If so, have you ever completed a game (short, tiny, 2 minutes of gameplay, doesn't matter, as long as it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.)? (This is a big one. One of the most important things your fellow developers will look at is your consistency at completing games. If they can't see that you haven't completed any games, most, if not all developers, won't be willing to take a risk on you. That's time they're investing into your project: time they don't want to see wasted as a project dies and never gets picked up again.)

Finally, what are you going to provide to the project? (Your answer had better not be leadership. Your fellow developers want to know that you know how to do something, whether it's drawing, composing music, or anything at all.)

This is what I would want to know. Ultimately, people want to know they can rely on you.

1 - Yes. (Explained in greater detail below.) That being said, I am realistically flexible.

2 - Yes. But not in practice. I can write a game beginning to end, including branching paths in a story and an excel mockup of the leveling system, enemy encounters, yadda yadda. (And I went to college for it.)

3 - Yes, but again it's a stack of paper than could be a game, much like the stack of mathematical paper that led to the first atom bomb... Lawls!

4 - Uh, writing... It's mostly about the story. Tons of text walls with people bumping uglies in various ways according to player preference. And also leadership. (Lawls.)
