Yeah, don't copy/paste the thread - it would break our rules on pornographic materials.

Do update the first post, though - if you can't be bothered to do so, then the thread will be locked. It's as simple as that. Rules exist to make it easier on not only you (for drawing people in), but also those looking to help others so they don't have to ask a billion questions. Put the bare minimum in or don't, but you have been warned that if you don't the thread will be locked.

All there is to it.

How's it look now?

Don't be patronising. No-one likes it when people act like that. You're really not putting your best foot forward here, and you should want to show that you can be professional seeing as you're the one asking for help here. :/

It's a joke. And she said she was under eighteen, so it's actually kind of creepy that she'd hanging out in this thread...

Besides, who wants to work with a guy without a sense of humor? :P

Okay, so maybe write those answers up into sentences for the OP? That would at least help.

What an idea! And a lolly for you, missy. *pats Kloe's head*

Just joking! :D

Well, personally, I have no interest in the project. I'm not into hentai (at least not the kind you're looking to make, and even if I were, I have no desire to make porn).

But if I were interested in the project, I'd want to know is, since you clearly have an established idea of what the game should be:

Do you have an established outline covering gameplay, mechanics, and story?

Do you have sufficient game design knowledge to make a game (not this game, A (SINGULAR) game) without help? (with RPG Maker engines, you technically need no programming skills...it's not advisable, but it can be done)

If so, have you ever completed a game (short, tiny, 2 minutes of gameplay, doesn't matter, as long as it has a beginning, a middle, and an end.)? (This is a big one. One of the most important things your fellow developers will look at is your consistency at completing games. If they can't see that you haven't completed any games, most, if not all developers, won't be willing to take a risk on you. That's time they're investing into your project: time they don't want to see wasted as a project dies and never gets picked up again.)

Finally, what are you going to provide to the project? (Your answer had better not be leadership. Your fellow developers want to know that you know how to do something, whether it's drawing, composing music, or anything at all.)

This is what I would want to know. Ultimately, people want to know they can rely on you.

1 - Yes. (Explained in greater detail below.) That being said, I am realistically flexible.

2 - Yes. But not in practice. I can write a game beginning to end, including branching paths in a story and an excel mockup of the leveling system, enemy encounters, yadda yadda. (And I went to college for it.)

3 - Yes, but again it's a stack of paper than could be a game, much like the stack of mathematical paper that led to the first atom bomb... Lawls!

4 - Uh, writing... It's mostly about the story. Tons of text walls with people bumping uglies in various ways according to player preference. And also leadership. (Lawls.)

Actually, I do have several emails from interested programmers. None from this site, though. Not yet, anyway.
Dude, just copypasta your fenoxo thread here. It doesn't tell me what I want to know, but it's well written and convincing. You'll definitely get some bites if you post that. A lot of people don't want to click on external links for reasons.

But it's so... porny...

And what is it you want to know, friend? (About the game, me, whatever?)

It was moved, duplicate threads are bad.

Also you HAVE to make the thread correct to the rules as per what Libby said or it'll get locked, plus if you do follow the rules there is more chance that maaaaybe even 1 person might join your team!

Also I gotta say this does sound pretty interesting, but as people have stated, most would rather do a game alone than work with someone they don't have any record of what they can do. My suggestion would be at least try to make something small similar to your game to show off your skills so people can feel as if you're worth working with.

Edit: Ninja'd by OP and Piano and LockeZ... orz

It's recruiting someone to work on your game, so yeah, Job Board (I thought it was already there for some reason).

To which I will point at the rules of the board and ask that you update your first post to include the following:

For those seeking help there must be:

- At least 500 words describing the game - what you're aiming for, game genre, story summary, systems planned, anything that will draw people in out of interest and what plans you have for the game itself. If you can't meet the word limit you don't have enough information to go looking for people to make the game with.
- 3+ screenshots of what you have so far or what you're capable of.
- Precise details about what you're looking for in people - what type of skills (mappers, writers, animators, musicians, etc); the skill level (beginner, advanced, professional); what you're looking to get out of them (a few sprites, 20 maps, an estimate of songs); what, if anything, you're willing to pay/recompense them with (nothing, monetary reward, t-shirts, something from the RMN store); the estimated amount/length of work (a few weeks, a couple of months, a year, until end of development).
- Past pieces of work, if applicable. This can be in the vein of written works, art, story boarding, games (even just flash ones) or anything that can show you have some sort of skill and the level of such.
- What you're willing to give in recompense. Is this a paid job? Is it an offer of some kind of service in return for the work? Do you expect free work?

In the case that a thread doesn't abide by these rules I will ask that it be updated. If after 48 hours it hasn't been, then I will move said topic to the Archives. I will not lock, so that the creator has the chance to edit and once edited, they may contact Liberty via PM and, if it meets the new rules, it will be moved back to the correct area.

In the case of rejection, topic spam will be met with warnings and/or bans, as per the site rules.

Failure to adhere to the guidelines above will likely result in your topic being locked, and/or ignored. Please be respectful of other peoples' time and effort.

No offense, but I really don't want to go to all that trouble again. I already did all that at Fenoxo's. Took me the better part of the day to get it right (even then, had to tweak it here and there).

You're blowing smoke, dude. I read the whole thread. Your skillset is salesmanship. For all of the questions you answered and for all of your presentation, you didn't reveal the understanding of a damned thing about game design. Stuntcock, on the other hand, is incredibly well versed.

Did you happen to notice the fantasy book, the free on I keep having to mention? Don't know how else to tell you "I write" then to give you a book I wrote.

So... repost in recruiting?
You should post the thread here:

https://rpgmaker.net/forums/job/

Thanks, bro.

EDIT... I think I might be crazy, but it seems this thread is in the Jobs thread already...

Dude, LockeZ' right. Your post literally translates to us as "Derp! Make a game for me!" You either don't have the will, or perhaps the sense to tell us a single, damned thing about what you can bring to the table. Nobody knows what your skillset is. We have every reason to assume you don't have one. You have no license to insult us because you want to...I don't know what the fuck you're trying to do.

Wow, really? (Follow. The. Link. And maybe follow the links in the link, the ones that give you details about who I am and what I do. Just click and read. Easy.) It's all there, including a whopper of a fantasy book I wrote for free. I guess you could call it a showcase?

In the book, the world of the future game is described as are the character types I like to involve and my style of sexualizing a scene. I'm not saying you have to read it; I'm saying you get to if you want to learn my skillset. I write. About sex. I also paint. Some say I do these things well. *shrugs*

author=pianotm
You are recruiting for a job. If some non-disclosure agreement, or narcissistic mental tick prevents you from giving anyone even a slight reason to make us think you're anything more than a complete incompetent, then you will not recruit anyone competent, or with any sense, because nobody competent or who has any sense, will be dumb enough to help you. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but you're insulting us because you don't have the sense to provide the information anybody needs to make an informed decision about jack.

So... repost in recruiting?

I'm not "trolling" anyone. I'm telling you that if someone wanted to make this kind of game, they'd make it without you, since you're offering no skillset and bringing nothing to the table.

Lawls! Your mind-numbing ignorance and churlish attitude must make you a real hot item with the ladies (or fellows). A bit of advice: take yourself less seriously. You'll live longer.

As far as your presuming to have the slightest understanding of my skillset, mm... not sure about that. *shrugs*

Also, a moderator should move this topic to the job board, since it's a recruiting topic, not a topic asking for help with his code.

This is a programming request, you know like 50% of the purpse of the Programming & Plugins section, according to the summary two pages back. You may want to read that sometime.

Have you ever completed a game, before?

Not as project lead. But I've been doing this since Starsiege TRIBES. I will finish this game.

Serious inquiries contact me via eMail. See OP. You know the route.

As it is, I'm arranging for a demo with a few interested parties via other means than RPG Maker. (Ren'Py seems to be the consensus *shrugs*) See OP for updates.
