The most powerful phone in history leaked ...

Of note is the front and back camera, like the DSi. Still don't see any buttons, so whether this will kill handheld gaming devices remains to be seen ( I doubt it )...

The Last Story, XenoBlade announced for Wii

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/slsj/index.html - Sakaguchi and Uematsu are on board. Not sure if Amano is or not. I'm not sure if the title is funny, or if Mistwalker is admitting they're on their last legs much like Square was when they made their "Last Story".

http://www.nintendo.co.jp/wii/sx4j/index.html - Xeno Blade. It's thought that this is the game we've known as "Monado".Not sure how or if this has any ties to the other Xenocrap games.

Congratulations kentona, this is a major step forward.

NINTENDO R DOOMED

Best game you personally don't like.

Since we're in a glut of "Best/Worst of" topics, let's try this one. Name a game you admit is good, but you personally don't like it.

I'll start with: Mass Effect, Final Fantasy 5, Majora's Mask, Lock's Quest, Castlevania 1, and Castlevania 3.

RmXP: 1.2 million downloads; RmVX: 95,000 downloads

... as of this post.

Even if we factor in that RmVX is newer, RmXP is getting far more downloads per week still. Why is this the case? Discuss.

Mistwalker's Cry On (360) - Cancelled

http://www.siliconera.com/2008/12/25/cry-for-mistwalkers-cry-on/

Apparently Microsoft was never really funding this one. Other than some quickie games on the DS, one wonders what Mistwalker has planned these days console-wise.

Breath of Fire's future is pretty bleak too.

White Knight Chronicles 29/40 Famitsu

Ouch.I mean, ouch. For a big budget jRPG to get this kind of score from Famitsu means one of two things:

1) Sony paid Famitsu absolutely nothing for the review and Famitsu let them have it
2) This game really, really, really sucks.

Thoughts?

I remember swearing I would never buy a SaGa game again ...

... and then I bought Last Remnant. Actually, it's decent so far. But, yes, for those who haven't gotten it yet, it for all intents and purposes is the next-gen entry in the SaGa franchise. Made by Akitoshi Kawazu and the SaGa team. The battle system is the high point so far, as it seems they've finally hit on something pretty good. Instead of PCs, you have squads of PCs that you give commands to in battle. It's pretty nifty, and rather than waste time writing about it, I'm going back to play. I just wanted to publicly post that Kawazu got me. :D
