ANEPICRTPMAPPER'S PROFILE

I'm a very amateur game developer who likes to makes SNES era type RPGs with RPG Maker 2003. I also have a degree in the Games Art & Design College. I've also inherited a bit of programming skills from my dad and uncle.

I've been a big fan of RPGs since I played Final Fantasy 4 of SNES. Despite it's simplicity, it's what got me into RPG Maker. My first RPG Maker game would of had to been kentonia made by kentona. He is also the author of Heroes Realm, which I drew inspiration and ideas from for A Twist of Fate.

One of my favorite things to do while not using RM2K3 is playing Professor Layton!

I hope you can enjoy my games, because there would be no point in submitting them!

Final Fantasy : Mystic Quest Remastered

Is the Waterfall dungeon (I think it's called Rapid Falls?) easier to figure out?

It really pissed me off back then when I had to refer to Nintendork Power just to know how to get through it.

The first 2 rows of wall tiles in the Eternal Blue dock can be passed through. And I didn't CTRL my way to make up some story.
See for yourself:

Some Advice

So I've been using RM2K3 for awhile now and I decided that it's time I upgraded. I'm considering XP because it's the least complex out of the newest makers for PC but VXA also came out. But I'm looking for the engine that's closest and most true to the 2K makers. Can anyone help me with this? I don't want to spend a year saving up for VXA even though we can purchase it through RMN.

I thought that cat was a bush or something because it practically uses the same shade of gray. If I can't see one of my mates cause of some effing background shade, I'll probably die of heart failure.

And is prepare supposed to be "Defend"?
I like how you say Use Item for the Item command because I never thought that was what the item menu was for.

And are the battle dudes giants, cause those monster sprites look like pictures on the map.

And does the background have anything to do with the map itself other than being made with the same chipset?

I'm not trying to troll or make fun of your style but all of the above doesn't make sense at all...

Change Log

I hate to show my face here again, but I was looking at the real Bahamut's stats and he has "2" Megaflares, both with different priorities. I playtested a fight with him to see if it'd make a difference and Megaflare was the only thing he used that whole fight. Is there any reason for this?
And in the save points, if it hasn't been addressed, pressing the cancel button results in being asked to use a tent/cabin instead of exiting the event all together. Not to big but it's tedious. This happens on all of them BTW.

Still, I am baffled that it could be done in 10 hours because I'm not even sure if I can do that. You didn't just plunk yourself down further in the game or something since you were poking around in the editor? Also Bahamut should be a complete pushover if you're level 84. Even the final boss is a wimp beyond 75.

And what are challenge dungeons? I recall mentioning dungeon challenges once in a blog post, but I never added them to the game.

I'm just skilled at these type of JRPG fangames. That's all.

However it really helps to grind for those materials for the better stuff. Saves time for farming Gil to buy better equipment.
And dammit! I was gonna do those after I beat the final boss!

Wait never mind. He prob. didn't get all trophies.
Wanna bet?

And I'm just awesome at speed running while grinding.
You can just give me a game like Chrono Trigger and I'll be half way through it in like 8 hours.
And as for the 0 Gold I had to use it all to buy healing items to beat the whole Arena. (That was the last thing I did)

But I gotta say, Bahamut has a ton of HP.
And that combined with his difficulty even though I beat the Arena and got Vahn, Siegy, Ami, and Godot up to level 84 makes me feel like I'm actually fighting
HOW did you accomplish that on the first day?

By not making any effort to get any chest, do the challenge dungeons, grinding my ass off for loads of Gil for Potions, Status restoring items, and the best equipment, and materials. But I'm pretty baffled my self that I got to that point on the first day.
I implemented a clock feature to see how much time I took (there's some good ones on RRR, and RMN) and all that totaled up to 10 hours. And I was like :0

(looked through the editor a bit. Sorry...)
Just a caution, I used the David patch to increase various things beyond their default limits. If anything seems suspiciously easy at the end of the game or something, then that is why.

I have the David patch myself too. :3.
But I gotta say, Bahamut has a ton of HP.
And that combined with his difficulty even though I beat the Arena and got Vahn, Siegy, Ami, and Godot up to level 84 makes me feel like I'm actually fighting Yiazmat instead of Bahamut. D:
But at least it's a good challenge.

That is a really large world. Much larger than I thought it was. Nice XD
http://rpgmaker.net/games/427/images/25361/

And there are THREE world maps. That is just the first one.

I was expecting a moon for the third world. (looked through the editor a bit. Sorry...) But shouldn't the third world be the same size as the first world?
