[RMMV] Looking for someone to create some retro (SNES-esque) character portraits and monster sprites.

Hey folks.

So, my project (Penumbra Crystallis) is using 100% original/custom graphics. I'm doing all character sprites and tiles at the moment, but I lack the skill to create character portraits and monster sprites. Basically, I'm just looking for someone who is willing to help me out with either of those - whether for free or commissioned, I'm up for both.

Penumbra Crystallis is an original remake of my old Final Fantasy fan game, Blackmoon Prophecy, and I'm trying to keep the DNA of the game the same. Sure everything will be original, but I want it still "feel" the same, so it is my intention to have things feel very Final Fantasy inspired, and this includes character portraits and monsters. Ideally, I'd be looking for something near the quality of Final Fantasy IV and other early SNES RPGs.

Also note that since this is in MV, I'm resizing everything by 300%. You don't have to worry about this on your part and I'll give desired dimensions of portraits and such to anyone who wishes to help.

Hmmm, how come sometimes when a character gets KOed, when I revive them, they cannot move anymore? Thier ATB fills, but they remain unusable?


It's an RPG Maker bug, I can't help it.

Hi UPRC I saw your blogspot of your game Final Fantasy Blackmoon Prophecy and I heard your winrar no longer supported it. Your game is still playable only by extraction to Winzip folder so just let anyone know your game can still be played. I played 21 minitues of it and it is really good by the quality of the graphics,story and gameplay. I wish you good luck into remaking it. Have a nice day UPRC!

WinRAR has never not been supported. The current download is even a rar archive. I'm not sure what you're saying, haha.

Q&A & Help

Angel Wing is only accessible after a certain point in the game. If you look for it too soon, you won't find it.

As for your levels, 43 should be fine. Make sure that you have someone devoted to healing if you're having problems, and maybe boost speed as much as you can. Exploiting enemy weaknesses is also an easy eay to cheese a lot of random encounters.

You need to pour the water in the chalice on a peculiar looking rock formation on the same map. Opens a chest or aomething, been years so I forget exactly what it gives you.

● Aether Cave reopens late in the game. You may return after a major event occurs. You'll know the one.
● Altered possible dialogue that may occur during the ending if Swordman's End is fully completed.
● Berserk attack power increase changed from 150% to 125%.
● Blizzard elemental damage rate from flu changed from 250% to 175%.
● Changed speed parameter curves for all playable characters. 250-260 is now considered the highest rather than 350ish.
● Fire elemental damage rate from burn changed from 250% to 175%.
● Fixed an issue that did not allow Kappa's side quest to progress beyond a certain point.
● Fixed some typos in the Berona Republic.
● Fixed the Peeper item that was added a while ago since it could not be used in battle. I am POSITIVE that they work now!
● Physical elemental damage rate from weaken changed from 300% to 150%.
● Remedy, X-Remedy, and Esuna spell are all now able to remove the weaken status condition.
