Games you've been neglecting... (The Pile of Shame)
author=rcholbert link=topic=89.msg1513#msg1513 date=1183613009I bought that almost as soon as it came out because it was a Bioware RPG but it was so damned boring most of the time. Mostly the combat, everything else was pretty cool. Very short, but oh well I guess. I don't think I would have trudged through an RPG with that boring a combat system much further, though.
Karsuman has been neglecting Jade Empire for far too long. He was once to be my apprentice, however Gredlen has now taken his place by my side.
Supposedly the PC version is better with an "improved" combat system. Who knows!
Favorite Game Shown at E3 07
I'd never heard of Assassin's Creed before (I live in a basement,) so seeing a video of it made me excited for it. I already knew I wanted Halo 3, MGS4, etc.

MMORPGs
author=Ocean link=topic=108.msg1672#msg1672 date=1183828112Sounds like you're having a blast.
The only MMORPG I've played is FlyFF. I'm too cheap/poor to pay for an MMORPG, so I only play free ones.
That being said, it was fine until you get to later levels. Then I had more fun finding/buying nice items and selling them than I had levelling up. I'm on Level 42, I'm fighting enemies 11 levels higher than me, which could take out half my HP in 2 hits or less, and I only get .7 EXP for each. Out of 100, so I have to fight 142 of them to Level up ONCE. And supposedly that's good compared to later levels when you'll get only .06 EXP per enemy, or 1667 enemies just to Level up ONCE. Talk about unrewarding. The pace at which you level up is fine from Level 1 - 5. Afterwards, you'll just stay fighting the same enemies over and over and over and over again. Quests? Consists of you getting a ton of dropped items from enemies that are now weaker than you and rarely drop stuff. Fun.
MMORPGs
I played a MUD for the longest time, but I've never had the money to play subscription MMORPGs. I'd probably like them a lot since I always have when I tried them out at a friend's house. Then again, I ended up spending just as much money on my MUD so I don't see how my logic was there....
Favorite Gameplay Element
I am a big fan of skill training for some reason. (Hit tree with sword for 4 hours to become master swordsman.)

author=Eddie link=topic=99.msg1479#msg1479 date=1183523873He reviewed a game that only had screenshots....
You should see his review of Kryberia. By review I mean poorly constructed sentence.
Delete him.

Non-RM Engines: What's stopping you?
I am planning to move to ika but previously the "ease of use" is what held me back. Since I want to do nearly everything custom built, however, the process with rm2k3 has been slow and grating, despite knowing exactly how to do everything.
