I am not really sure why you could not have waited to get the screenshots to post the blog

I am inclined to agree. It is kind of sad brilliant blog posts like these: http://rpgmaker.net/games/471/blog/4177/
do not even last a day on the front page, bumped down by "Going on hiatus...", "Stay tuned for an important battle stat announcement!" and "Title change coming soon!" Another example of that is YDS' lengthy The Long Goodbye blog posts that also get pushed down within mere hours to accommodate two-sentence trivial updates.
But what can you do, really? "Blogpost of the Week"? lol I don't really know what "reward" will be a proper incentive to post substantial blog posts. I've always enjoyed the ones that contain some deep insight about the game, screenshots, artwork or videos.. But we can't expect them all to have that.
