I am the writer/director of a project called HEGEMON. It's a Science Fiction game that I am making using RPG Maker MV. I'm using a New Game+ script to progress. It's not a reward for beating the game, it's how you beat the game.

[RMVX ACE] "f" symbol on equip screen. Why?

I tried inserting the script below Main as Lone Wolf suggests, but the junky glyphs remain. Even the naming screen shows a whole box of 'f's when you click "page". I tried putting at the bottom, and at the top. Can't seem to get this one to work for me. Am I using it wrong?

I made a Suikoden II font in a program called Fontstruct, and there seems to be no way to eliminate the character from that end.

I set up yanfly party and equip engine scripts, and estriole's rune equip slot scripts and noticed later on that an 'f' symbol similar to the facebook symbol appears next to all the stats and runes. I tried removing the scripts one-by-one to see if they had been responsible but it still appears. Why is this? How can I get rid of it?

I'm also taking the issue up with "Fontstruct" that I used to make the Suikoden II font for the game. That could also be the cause.

Resolved. It was a conflict with the parallax mapping script I'm using.

[RMVX ACE] Older First Person Battle Scripts

I'm in the process of trying to streamline a huge project so I want to switch to a first-person battle system so animated battlers will no longer be required. The problem I'm finding is that I cannot find any of the scripts that look good from the "Recommended Battle System" video we've probably all seen. Specifically the "IRC First Person Battle System", but I can't find Claimh's or Moghunter's either. Are they on here and I'm just missing it?

I could settle for Yanfly because the most important part would be showing the actor's face graphic during battle, but I thought I'd reach out first before doing that. Also any other FPBS recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks, GreatRedSpirit. I had overlooked a small mundane detail. Got it fixed now. With some tweaking this is really a great script. All that was holding me back was a single space. Instead of naming the event for "Cabbage Seed" the appropriate "Cabbage Seed 1" I had named it "Cabbage Seed1".

[RMVX ACE] Ra Gardening Script Problems

I posted a different topic about watering issues, but now I have a more fundamental problem. I could get the seeds to begin growing inside the demo, but now inside of my own project I cannot get plants from the event map to appear on the player map. I have followed the instructions as carefully as possible but I must be missing something. In the script it says:

I'm thinking I must be getting something wrong here. I can't even find how this correlates in the demo signifying that MAP002 is the plant event map. There are many awkward things in the demo like super-fast growth rates, the watering pail being seemingly impossible to use, neverending eggplant loops. I figured I could fix those issues if I got the basic script to work, but I can't get it to work at all outside the demo. Does anyone have some experience with this script that could give me some advice?

[RMVX ACE] RA FARMING, Water Only Growth?

I've been working with Eshra's farming script, but am having some trouble with some of the absolutes involved. I can get a plant to grow all on it's own to the final stage, or die and go black if unattended, but is there a way to make it so the growth stage will stay at it's present state until it is watered? So that a plant that has 7 stages will need to be watered 6 times before it can be harvested instead of growing on its own or dying while you're off questing.

I know there's a Water Start Add-on, but I can't get it to work properly. I need a way that each stage requires watering. Once I water the seedling it just grows into an adult or dies if a minimum is set.

Is is possible to have character levels, equipment, inventory, money carry over to a continuation of that game? Specifically I want to create a demo for a larger project, but would like players to be able to take all the experience and items earned over to the actual game when it is completed at a later time. Similar to how you could take all of your items from Armored Core 3 over to Armored Core: Silentline, or how you could use Suikoden I data into Suikoden II. Is there a script for this and I missed it? Could I modify the New Game Plus script to achieve this?

[RMVX ACE] Ladder Animation

Thanks. I've haven't made any custom animations before. Know of any good tutorials I can learn how to do that after removing the tags? I'm using overlay mapping so all the tiles I'm using are invisible used just for passage and walls while you walk between to parallaxes.

I've become very skilled at gathering resources and customizing sprites in the last 18 months, but still very much a greenhorn in some areas of RPGMVXA.
