Boxley Review
Hey, thanks for the review. I had wanted to finish a game, so I programmed an almost-Tetris with a story -- it wasn't meant to be anything else other than average. Which is why I was surprised I got a 5/5!

When I tried to upload it multiple times earlier, the site gave me a Django error. I forget what exactly (I'm not on my desktop, and won't be until the 21st).
But I just tried downloading and reuploading it to RMN on my laptop, and now it works.

Well, like the first line says, I'm unable to upload it to RMN at this time!
I decided to bite the bullet and upload it to MegaUpload: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YWLPWYOT
The link is now also up in the description.

RMN3 Bugs
The bbcode in my profile isn't rendering correctly. The float on the <p> is also causing part of the list to fly.
EDIT: Testing cool edit.

I'm "new"
Sorry about that, I guess the revival was sort of my fault :P I linked to it from IRC.
Yeah, I've been hanging about in #rpgmaker.net recently. Hi again. I'm still "new." Still working on the game, but been so busy with school I haven't really had much time.
What else should I say?
I suppose I should start with "since then." I'm working on another small game, but I've been lazy on that. I now have a working knowledge of Python. I learned a dab of Ruby. I'm learning XSLT. Two stories I wrote are going to be published. I also happen to be really, really terrible at budgeting my time.
Oh, yes, I will be moving to ika!

What games were released in 2008 [HELP FILL IN THE BLANKS]?
Boxley by ?? - ??Whoa, I was surprised to see this here.
Anyway, yeah, I'm the author. I suppose you would also call it a complete game; I honestly don't remember if I changed/added anything since. It was just a fun side project. I know the "story" was done, though.
New blood?
-ReiI agree with this. Being relatively new, I would like to add that hearing about Release Something Day was a major factor to why I joined this site. I loved the fact you could submit anything, even if it was unfinished, just for releasing something. It gave off the impression that this is friendly, laid-back community, and yes, this is a community I would like being involved in.
I'm just saying, that something spiffy that people can join and be a part of, which is well organized and established, will catch the attention and can be brought more easily out to other sites and communities. Same time it would also be productive and creative.
... Unfortunately, the question of what to be involved in entered my mind shortly after, and I haven't posted much of anything since. Sorry about that! I don't think much about "gamedev theories," I just work on my game. I do not practice graphic art. I write, but have no need to post my works. The only services I would ever offer would be programming, and 95% (guessing) of the people here don't need it, and for the leftover 5%, I don't know RGSS... although I am learning Ruby now to help with Sphere's future editor. And I don't feel like writing someone else's story :P From this, my services do not seem needed. You guys seem to have your bases well-covered. So, my question, which may not reflect the majority, is: What can I DO? What unique thing can I, as an individual, offer? So far, this has just been my own game.
Release Something Day is brilliant and might be the only thing you need, but if you wish for more -- some incentives for new blood such as me to DO STUFF, calling out to their unique abilities, would be nice. Make it almost painfully obvious what they can do. Put it everywhere. DO STUFF = productivity = get more involved with community. This is why I like Anaryu's team event idea, back on page 2. The reward for that could be recognition (nominee for "BEST TEAM EVENT GAME 2009"), which is a fairly powerful motivator. Money is pretty good too :P
Help out the RMN Multiplayer! I need a logo!

Used a bolder font for "Multiplayer." I thought the crystal was nice since it's your logo and it helped fill the otherwise blank background. I can't think of anything else :(

Help out the RMN Multiplayer! I need a logo!

I'm totally unused to 100x132. Hope this is okay, I'm by no means a professional graphics designer :P
