What's been inspiring you!?
Mana games for me have been a big inspiration in my games and graphically. Like, they usually have a vibrant and nature inspired world that I really enjoy.

(Magical vacation for this one)

I definitely take inspiration from other games and sources as well like Oblivion and early FFs.
Earlier Oshun days it was a lot more early FFs like FF5, 6, 7 but I found I've been taking more inspiration from real life, not as in "making it 3D realistic graphics" but like going on a vacation to a new place, enjoying scenery, that kind of thing is really enjoyable and I felt the most inspired to create after coming back from someplace new and fun. I keep photo references of places I wanna take inspiration from around.
It was definitely in mid 2000s where I really got to enjoy working on the tropical kind of setting, and have loved it since.

Thank you, Santa, for the pixel art! It's really neat how it references a game of mine, I almost didn't notice ("Spying? Whut, I dun get it") but it was certainly a nice surprise when I did xD ("ohh they mean that")
Seeing as Ocean describes themselves as a pixel artist on their profile (and the borders look a little similar to something in their game) I would hazard to guess.. Was it you?
Reveal time, yes ahah figured it out right away! :D Yeah uhhh spying was like Spying on competition to learn their tricks but I didn't have the space to fit that in. Prob could have used another word but I was at a loss! It was like a pixel mockup of your bakery game but with your avvy in it :D
AND MAKIOKUTA thank you the arts was awesome!

McBacon Jam (2?) post mortem
First Jam turned out well, was working with everyone that had the same basic vision. Turned out with Ruin Frontier, a game I'm happy to have made.
Second Jam, I guess everyone was too indecisive and didn't really have much communication going on, which I assume was due to being busy as I understand and was as well. I wasn't going to try and make everything myself, so I devoted my time to a more important cause. Eating fooooooood!
A mockup is about how far we got. Ideas were thrown around a bit but never really got around to doing stuff.
Personal recommendation, I'd say a short time frame so you know you only have a certain amount of time and not like a month. At least you can make something short and not have to worry about making some grand thing. Extensions... I'm not a big fan of them personally but sometimes they could be good. Perhaps that could be based on a majority of teams wanting one, but otherwise no extensions. And limiting it.
I do support team of 3, with being able to get some occasional outside hired help.
Might do another jam in the future, maybe.
