It's not really a competition, but I would recommend you to get creative. Mostly you should use both the word and the picture to inspire your game. That can be its aesthetic, story, themes, mechanics. It's up to you how you decide to tie it in. Using them for something cosmetic like name only would be lazy

You may use it as a guide for the story. As can the image. However, it's not necessarily your "theme", per say this time? You certainly need to incorporate both image and word in your game, but, how you accomplish that is, I believe, up to you.

Might wanna get Illy's official word on that, though.

Guys, I have a question. The word that we get, does it have to do something with the story? Or is it ok, if (for example) it's just in the game's title?

Glad to hear that there is still people trying to make good games out of events like this. Looking forward to play all of your "serious" games. Finished or unfinished, it doesn't matter.
