MASTERMACHINE'S PROFILE

This is the MasterMachine, a future writer/game designer, enthusiast of retro games , and one bored nerd with nothing else to do all in one. Currently a student at Ball State University, I am planning on going into the gaming industry one small step at a time. As of now, I plan to start small and make, at least, a couple of RPGs, as well as possibly review some games here and there. Currently, I'm being weighed down by college, so progress on any and all titles may be a bit delayed. On the flip side, if I can find the time to settle down and get back into track on game making, I might post something soon, before Halloween comes around. As a hint on my latest project, it'll be a dark, gritty tale with a character that apparently has amnesia. Keep on the lookout for any and all future projects to come, for you may never know when I'll submit my latest ideas.

Buck's Space Journey (working title)

Tried looking everywhere for Empire of the Stars, but I can't seem to find any downloads or information on it.

Game Submission

Never mind that, game just got accepted!

Game Submission

Last night, I submitted a game idea onto the forums, as well as five pictures. Still says "pending" in the status, so now what?

Which version?

Currently, I'm using RPG Maker 2003. Fun to use, as long as you know what you're doing.

[Tutorial]How to take a Screenshot and submit it to the site

Thanks a bunch for the help.

I just submitted my game in the making, Buck's Space Journey (working title), so I'm glad to know how to take screen shots for it, as well as any other games that I plan to create in the future.

What are you currently reading?

Currently, I'm trying to get myself to read through Shogun by James Clavell, but at over one thousand pages, I'm having difficulties with keeping my attention span well enough to actually read through the novel. Got through about one hundred and fifty pages so far, so I'm about one tenths the way through.

On the other hand, I've been trying to focus on writing my own fictional novels and such, but with my writer's block, well, it's difficult to finish something while you've got other ideas in mind. Even now, it's difficult to hold my attention span on my RPG project, but then again, I guess I'm a bit ADD.

Any of you guys/gals swim?

I occasionally don't mind swimming around in pools, but I don't swim nearly as much as I would like.

A Couple of Questions

Thanks a bunch for all the help. Information and screen shots will most likely be posted by the end of the week. Still working on mapping and the main plot line, but at the rate I'm going, I'll have plenty of information posted shortly here. Now that I think of it, how do I save screen shots on the main program? Is there a certain button I have to push like with emulators (and if so, what do I push) or do I have to take snapshots with a camera?

EDIT: I was hoping to post information on Saturday night, but posting will be pushed back to Sunday since my older brother just asked me to join with a few of his friends for a Dungeons and Dragons session, which I rarely ever get the chance to do since he's always busy with college-related business.

Pet Peeves, turn offs, and other things that piss you off.

My biggest pet peeve has probably got to be ignorance. If I say hello to someone, I expect them to say hello back, or at least smile. I get so annoyed by people that just pass by me like I don't exist. Of all things, I get annoyed by that kind of treatment. It's the whole fear of the unknown, whether it's because they didn't hear me or if it's because of something I could have done that I'm not aware of. I just get so annoyed by the ignorance of others, it just drives me up a wall.

A Couple of Questions

I got the problem with the title screens fixed, but now I have a couple more stuff I need help with.

First of all, where's a good site for some sound effects? At the very least, I need gunshots and lasers. Enough said.

Second, I need a good battle animation for lasers. Found a couple of effects on charas-project.net, but I'm not satisfied.

Last, but not least, if I submit information on a game, can I change the title of it at any time? My project has a working title at the moment, but I don't know if I like the title well enough.

I hope I'm not asking for too much. I just need to get this project on the road and a bit of help is most appreciated.
