Oh lookie! You made a cool game! Congrats! Or should I say it my way? Congratas!

One of a few cool games.

This is interesting, I think it deserves more attention. It's kinda like a somewhat less dated and more structured Yume Nikki. I've also never seen maladaptive daydreaming tackled as a game concept before, so that's a plus.

There are a couple small things I'd change:

Needs a dash button. In a game where part of the appeal is exploration and a lot of areas that are just flavor, you want the player to have more freedom of movement than this. I quit on the 8-bit dream because of how slowly I was moving.

I'm not sure how to understand which layer I'm on. This makes it a little troublesome to try to plan for which ending I'm going to get.

I also figured that once I'd seen the "layer 1" ending I'd be able to continue, collect eight "layer 2" memories and it would override. Not so--once you have eight of anything you can't continue daydreaming at all. You don't want to give the player too much power in a game like this, but it seems too easy to accidentally complete the wrong set. Since I saved in the room with a complete set before I understood this, I now have to start over if I want any more endings.

That said, it's a neat game, and I like it more than a lot of the other YN-inspired, surreal-exploration type games.

Thank you for your input!
While I can get that the thing can be slow, at least most maps are rather small. But don't worry, I will have the Dask feature in mind.

So it is headbutt-able?

No. Sadly.

My first reflex was wanting the sprite to jump up and headbutt that square.

I'm glad I wasn't the only one.

[Rpg maker 2003] Change battler?

author=Razzy
Is it possible to change a hero's battler sprite/animation later on in the game?

Like if they get a visual upgrade? Or do I have to switch characters in the database entirely ?

I think that the only way is to make the character change classes.

Let's work on your game descriptions!

I need a bit of help in my game description.

Here's the original:
Some time ago, a girl, whose name is unknown, had a broken life. Living alone on her apartment, she decided to get a stereo system in order to feel better about herself. After buying a particular old and large stereo system, she discovered what lied beyond the electronic device: it was a portal.

But where did the portal lead? The answer was a dream-like world that reflected her, populated by several beings who were living there somehow. However, she recieved a simple mission, its reason not disclosed: she had to get 30 mysterious objects, called orbs, scattered across the world like papers on the wind. Aiding her are some items that change her appearance, called by convenience "Effects", also found across the bizarre landscapes.

But what to make about the orbs and their purposes? Some say that they were memories of her rotten life, as she attempts to fix herself and uncover the truth. And thus, she nicknamed herself "Me" and started the fetch quest on that land.

What do you suggest for improving the description? Did I make any english mistakes (it's not my native language, so...)

White's Adventure Review

Thank you very much for the review. It means a lot to me.
Another thing is that White is supposed to be male, but then again, his gender isn't that heavily referenced.
