CRITICAL_FAILURE'S PROFILE
I have been working with Rm2k off and on since about 2001. I'm mostly out now to make some friends who also like either Rm2k or Rm2k3.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
I just got a copy of Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii. (I know I'm waay late.) That has been dominating my time lately.
Two Questions
Long games are fun to work on, but there is something I recall from English 101 in college. When writing an essay to be read by a professor, you have one sentence to convince him/her you are not an idiot. I think games, be them long or short, are like this. You have one or two frames with just a bit of dialog to keep people interested. It's easy to forget about this when dealing with a long game. You never get a second chance at a first impression.
Collaborative Projects
I have been collaborating with a friend of mine on an Rm2k project which has been going since about 2007 or so. It's an incredibly impractical approach that we have taken. One person adds on to the game and mails it back to the first person who adds a little more. We keep a debug room full of notes to each other, strange options, and gags. We get together and talk about what is happening and what will happen with out characters and so on. It's been the most fun I have had working with any Rpg Maker. I highly recommend it.
I'm here for friends.
post=130614post=130577Does it mean you're not willing to play games made by people other than your friends, or that you want to be friends with people that make the games you play?
The main reason I am here now is to meet some other people who also enjoy Rpg Maker. I would much rather play games designed by friends.
No, not at all. But I am generally more excited to play games made by people I know. I think that's understandable.

Why is your name Critical Failure?
It's an old gag from D&D. I used to always roll 1s.

Hi gang.
I have been using Rpg Maker 2000 off and on since about 2001 or so. I have never really been on any of the Rpg Maker forums because I always had friends who would play whatever I made. Anyway, I'm like most people. I always have a demo to push.

What Videogames Are You Playing Right Now?
Playing a lot of Berzerk on the Atari 2600 and Counterstrike. (Not very good for an RPG forum I know.)
