I try writing stories but I don't get past a couple of pages, usually.
I agree with Nova,
don't force it. When it comes, then it comes.
However writing an epic epic ain't that bad idea either. Genres and their cliches can help you a lot. It's presumably easy to build up a fantasy story for a novel (and make a game adaptation afterwards).

Screenshot Survival 20XX
So, I finally started doing something again. Here is my first try on tileset (Swapsheet actually). Maps are made in 20XX editor. Don't be too harsh on colors, I used Commodore's VIC-20 palette. It sucks, yeah.

Working with Pyxel is fun fun fun.
I made this Swapboard for Mini Ludum Dare. It has terrible colors ( I used VIC-20, which doesn't have grey and I definitely could work better with it). I'll do better next time, they are my first 16x16 tiles after all.

Chip's Challenge now out on Steam! But not just CC, but Chip's Challenge 2. Looks like a remake with upgraded graphics (although giant teeth replacing the old green monster with a big mouth is disappointing). Gonna buy the package right away and do some Chip's Challenge tonight!
It looks similar to Kentona's puzzle from Befuddle Quest 2.
Edit: This discussion about Horror games makes me want to play Lone Survivor finally.

I mostly share Kentona's and Pizza's disappoint of view. I don't like lolis in games at all and It's a horror to me to hear about kiddos in horrors. An elder man is probably not as easy to be scared, naive, virgin and possessed with an ancient devil.
I tried to play One Night once and it was rather boring too. I should pick one of Owl's gams, but these screenshots are too scary.
