That's great to know... but... huh?
Haha. :)

They say to always go with your gut... first thoughts are usually correct. To that end, I'm talking about the textures.
I actually don't mind the layout, but the texture just doesn't seem to match the game. To me anyhow.

Even then, I'm not sure it's even the texture. Maybe the colors? Or maybe it's the alternate textures in the boxes top left.

I can't quite put my finger on what exactly... but something does feel off. I think maybe it's both the alternate textures in the top boxes and the colors not gelling with the game graphics.

Still... looks way better than the the overlay I've tried to create. 100x better. HAha.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2019

All the best for 2019 everyone!
As for 2019 plans? Who knows really. Maybe plan some resolutions for 2020?

Virtual toast to all.

Merry Christmas RMN!

A little late to the party... but Merry Christmas! And, as they say, a happy New Year!!!

Merry Christmas RMN!

Merry Christmas folks!

@StormCrow - Looks like they're ready for a huge battle!

@IndependentArt - It's the little things that make something really cool. Right?

Making games? What motivates you?

It's never been a secret how many demos and attempts get left unmade and unfinished.
Completing a full game is hard and time consuming. And yet... it has been done. Plenty of times.

So what motivates you?

Do you plan out your game before you try and create it? Get the majority of the plot planned out before that first tile is laid?

Or do you start with an idea and build on it as you go? Hoping things work out in the end.

I sometimes wonder how many completed games there would be, and awesome ones at that, if the creator simply stuck with, and finished, one project at a time? Instead of getting bored with an idea and starting a second one. Then a third and fourth.

For those that have finished a project, how did you do it? What kept you going until the last hurdle was jumped? Was it the support in the community? Or was it the nay-sayers, that consistently said you couldn't do it?

I'm curious, and feel that anyone who reads these potential hints, ideas and experiences - may be able to put them to good use.

So? What motivates you?

Hi, I'm new!

Hey! Welcome from another newcomer!

As for your upload... I'm not totally sure but I don't think you can actually upload on the site yet. For my avatar, I had to upload it somewhere else and post the link into my avatar field.

Or, what I originally did, I ran a google search for the type of image I wanted and included 150x150 in the search. Then I just copied the link and pasted it in my avatar field.

I'm not sure I'm making sense... but I hope that helped a little.

[RMMV] - Help with the video function.

Thanks for the help Mirak.
It's the resolution that is getting to me. I want the videos to introduced seamlessly. I suppose the best way would be trial and error. But I'm not quite ready for that yet - so information gathering feels important.

Cheers.

[RMMV] - Help with the video function.

I've searched using master Google, but can't seem to find a definite answer. So, I was wondering if anyone here knew.

The question?

Adding video. Specifically? Format. I've heard you have to add 2 formats. I've heard only a certain one works.

And finally, the real question I'm hoping can be answered. Dimensions. What screen size should the video be?

Any help would be appreciated. And cheers!
