I'm Ben_Random. I've been around since 2008 but I didn't really get active here since Super RMN Bros. 2. That, an unfinished game, and a couple of contests sums up what I've done with game making on this site. I find that my main purpose here is writing. I have a few tutorials out there, as well as some reviews on Mario fan games such as RMN Bros. or Mario V.S. the Moon Base.
Now with the internet the way it is these days, you can probably use just this information to stalk me.

Just finished my first-ever level. Difficulty is probably a 1.5 or 2...anyone want to test it out?
I'll give it a shot Deckliller. Cause its Christmas and "the season of giving", and apparently I'm supposed to "help" people.

Bowser's Desert is almost certainly going down the drain.

Difficulty: 2.5/5
SMB3 Desert Level
1. It was shorter than most levels, but all the hidden secrets made up for that.
2. What was the point of the trapped toads? Maybe there should be some way to rescue them and a reward for doing it!
3. Being forced to find a secret key to get to the boss isn't for all players. Some might just go forward, not thinking they have to find the key. What's more is that you have to have a certain power-up and be able to fly to do it.
4. The boss room didn't match the desert theme very well. Maybe some orange or yellow-ish tiles would work better?
Either way, its a quality level that shouldn't be deleted.
Okay, thanks. I guess i will leave it as it is and upload Wooden Wonders as Well.

Since ShortStar thought that it was too easy, I've updated Yoshi_Plains to be slightly harder. I also fixed the water so that you can't swim above it. Also, Ben you can unzip .rar files by downloading Winrar which has a free trial version at the official site.
Okay, thanks. I may not be able to play and review your level in time for you to edit it, but I will certainly try.
Also: Bowser's Desert is almost certainly going down the drain. I my replace it with a short level I made called "Wooden Wonders". (The level in the screen shot of that error I was having.) I am not going to do ANY more work on Bowser's Desert. I'm sorry ShortStar, but this level is really getting boring for me. If you insist on having me keep it (which I doubt anyone does) I will. And I will upload wooden wonders as well.

Turns out I am not as busy as I thought I was.
Here's the review of...
Beanstalk
1. Make the starting mushrooms stand still. In the NPC box there is an option "don't move", check it.
2. The ? mushroom does nothing
3. Add some decoration to the first part of the level, all I see is a platform and a giant vine. Add trees and such and what not and yor.
4. One leaf, thats all I get. Replace the ice flower with a tanooki.
5. I loved your level. Then I got to the castle. Don't start out with a boss fight. Add a hallway where mario has to jump over fireballs and run under thwomps. Then add a pipe, which leads to a long dash hallway, into the boss fight room.
6. Seriously, Metriod, Mario, AND Zelda Graphics all in one room!
I think the Idea of your level is VERY creative, and could defiantly be seen in a Nintendo game. Just a few edits and I will be perfect!
Edit: I just realized something. None of my levels have a text file telling the difficulty of the level. AGGGG.... I an horrible at rating difficulty anyway. Should I just send the difficulty that shortstar tells me when he reviews my levels????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I still cannot figure out why there are two Clown in the Clouds levels under my name, I only have one in my locker. As far as I know, they are the same file, but why there are two, I don't know.

Uploaded my level "Beanstalk". Difficulty 3/5 :)
Most fun with two players, as it's part of a two player game I'm designing, but still works well with one!
Climb the beanstalks (vines) to the castle in the clouds to rescue the maiden who sleeps there...
Would make a good first castle or World 1-8 I reckons. Please tell me what you think!
Looking forward to seeing it in a Brickroad Let's Play one day maybe, if it's good enough...

Wow that sounds like if you clone a level over a level.

@Ben What errors are you having in the editor?
When ever I put the cursor on the screen, and move it, it drags around another cursor. If I scroll up, then scroll back down, the blocks have copied themselves and overlapped in impossible ways. As soon as I can I will post a few screen shots (because I am horrible at explaining things). Right now I am using a library computer and I don't have the editor here with me.

I think I might as well give this Super RMN Bros. 3 three "world map" thing a whirl. I'm too busy to actually run the project but building the world map should be a good experience in learning the wonders of Super RMN Bros. (Who knows, maybe I'll get something done without ShortStars help.
EDIT: I am having LOTS of bugs in the editor so I don't think I will get Bowsers Desert V3 up by the 18th. If I don't, I'll just give it what it deserves. (a pressing of the DELETE FROM LOCKER button)
