I commend you Deckiller for having more patience than I did with this one...

Most of us know that buddy, but we shall continue to rant about it until we see some improvements to our eyes~ *o*
Yeah. What this guy said.
I was meaning the screen-shots... Lol... People look at game info and screen-shots BEFORE they play the game. Those... make people avoid it more.
i can help you correct the grammer
Hope in humanity is restored. Actually it's extremely lost right about now. :(

Better than what I can currently do at least. ;D /half-attempt at a compliment.
I'd change that purple though. It's blinding, distracting, and doesn't really fit the game much.
I'd also find yourself someone that actually knows English -very- well to help edit all the text in the game.

Whatchu Workin' On? Tell us!
I'm tinkering around with an asian-styled ninja and samurai game entitled Honorable Demise. Not sure if I'll ever release it, since this will be my starting point with learning to use VX Ace... depends on how it turns out. I have most of the ideas and basics for the storyline/characters worked out with a good deal of the database, graphics, and music I'm going to use nearly finished. I'll probably start on the first part of the game tomorrow. Just trying to figure out whether I want to use the default battle system or go with a custom one for it.
Title screen that I -may- end up using. Still unsure. Using it as a place mat for now:

Some of the music that I'm considering to use, but seeing as they're 3 different styles still debating...

The Rare/Obscure RM Games Request Topic
Liberty's been going through the games with downloads on RMN and found a bunch with missing downloads, so I went through the database and queried for "megaupload". Here is what I found was missing downloads:
I'll have to split some of them into parts (just right-click on part 1 and extract if you're unfamiliar) but here's what I have from that list that hasn't already been posted:
Take Down - Lambs of Destiny
Mediafire Links
Take Down - Lambs of Destiny.part1
Take Down - Lambs of Destiny.part2
Take Down - Lambs of Destiny.part3

Also wanted to share this game, since it's one of my favorites and last time I went to look for it (Before Megaupload was shut down), it took me a long search to get it... but if you haven't played it before, you should give it a try:

Lol. I'm still trying to figure out what resources I can even use for VX Ace. Is Ace backwards compatible with VX resources? Been reading around and stuff but either I keep skipping over it or just can't find the info about that.
Thanks you two.
I just realized... I should have put "But then I took an arrow to the knee" as my first sentence after the topic title. D:

RPG Maker VX Ace - Nugget Crash Course
Keep in mind that just because I didn't like something about your game, doesn't mean that others will feel the same. It doesn't mean you've done something wrong or anything. It's always good to do something a bit different. I'm just more of an exploring/plot type.
That being said...
*replays To Save/Heal A Land*... I'll give a better review this time (was just trying to keep comments shortened since there were so many).
The mapping is really good. There's a NPC in House 1 that changes sprites when talking to him. Not sure if that was intentional but figured I'd point it out, just in case. The characters and NPCs are fine, as far as the writing goes. Better than most and I can tell that each one has a distinct personality. Maybe I shouldn't have used the term generic so loosely in that particular instance. My apologies. Better wording would be... yeah, you need some back-story. At the very start it's just - we're going to this cave to meet this faerie to heal your curse. Aside from character personalities, that's really it for the story. I'm sure there's more to it that comes 'after' what is playable in the demo, but with what is there now it isn't really much. Just *plop* 'Now play.'
I think, for me, this is one of those games that you have to play through more than once to start liking it (Ex: FFX) because for the 2nd play-through, I actually ended up liked it. I'm sure that once it's complete that I'll end up liking it more. Just, like I said, there isn't much substance to it yet.
Yeah, I liked the characters, themes, mapping... pretty much everything. The only downfall was the length, which is understandable considering time restraints and it being a contest and all; but your game did end up #6 on my list (Yeah... I had most of them actually ranked, just decided to go with top 5 x.x).

Um, about feeling too generic. Could you give an example, perhaps? I'm wondering just what I'd need to change to make it less so, but your comment doesn't give me much to go by. The battles were not that generic, I hope, and I thought I'd done the writing pretty well. I mean, there's not much back-story there, but they do have character. Maybe that's what you meant. I'll definitely be working on expanding the characterisation in the full version.

If "I wish it were longer" is the only thing you have against it, I'm doing okay!
