Densha soul act 1 run testing done & letter of Apology.

Run testing had been done & our game tester had pointed out few minor bugs & glitches which I had fixed. Upon developing the game, I notice that if you press button X when choices selection appear, it will cause you to pick the 2nd choice.

Computer performances also affect the games. Like when I test on my friend's laptop, some scene will froze like 2-4 minutes before moves on. But when I run test on my laptop, it didn't froze that long. This is something I can't change.

If you thought what is mystery potion & tobe saito family potret is for, these items meant to be used in the postponed true ending route. Also, the carriage 21 & 22 seems empty because those puzzles only activated on true ending route.

I know without the true ending route, this game may feel disjointed but still the best I ever made in my whole life & I am happy with the outcome.

Once my spirit come back. I'll do miracle in the true ending route. Again, thank you for your support.

Game Design

Nightmares dimension & flashlight with twist.

Ah, flashlight. It is a common feature we found in many horror games. Main character walking in a circle of light while exploring dark room. I decided to add it into this game but with some twist.

Say, there are some invisible enemies in dark & you had been told to press S button to enlighten whole room to reveal their hiding spot (see video!) or turn it off to stunt Dolly the doll from following you. Who said you can't have fun with flashlight?

Transition between player to different world or dimensions is nothing new in horror games. Just because this game named as Densha (train) doesn't mean everything will take place on train. So, each 3 of us took 1 month to create different world or a.k.a nightmares dimensions, along with nightmares sprites. Doing this feels like we are making many horror games in a single project. Just to add more fun, some dimensions contain hidden secrets or story.

Zer0 advanced weather script really awesome! The blowing wind & leaves really make the moving train scene more realistic. I decided to name the violinist skeleton as Sir B Hauten & since Yui has demonic red eye, we decided to put it into good use like using it to stunt enemy or to reveal hidden door.



Note : One of my team member got inspired with cranyon like world in Ib game so she created one. For my part, I think if we able to make it in this december around christmas, this sweet world with evil gingerbread is what I am going to serve in full version!

Progress Report

Hidden story arc - The past of James.

In one of the endings route, you will be able to unlock a past of a person who known as James. This hidden past is focusing the past life of James & his friends. However, you need to complete some tasks in order to unlock this special part.

WARNING : HIGH GRAPHICAL SPOILER CONTENT (OPEN AT YOUR OWN RISK.)

James, a young man from the noble family. He decides to pursue his dream, despite his father refusal. An argument which caused him to get kicked out from the house.


But James wasn't alone. He got two best friends who always support him & help him to achieve his dream.

James friends, Yumada & Marcelline. They become friends since they were kids.


The role of MC will change when you will play as the James himself, exploring the town (church, cursed forest, town, etc.) & interact with people around to learn the story. This hidden arc will take you away from the train ride for awhile & gives you some nice exploration to discover shocking truth behind the past before return back to the reality.


Note : Momo become invisible & 'watch' the past that plays in front of her eyes.

Once you've complete this hidden story arc, there will be a drastic changes in the game play itself, starting from carriages no.17 to 25. So, don't expect you will experience the same thing when you give it a second try to get different ending.

For example, in carriages 17, you will meet 2 akuryo children & prompted to make a choice of with whom you want to play with. Say, for the first time, you wish to play with the boy first. So maybe for the second time playing, you can pick the girl & experience something different.

This is one of the interesting features of this game to encourage people to get different endings without the need to replay or face the same things all over again.

Current note : Due to this new changes, it will took more time for us to complete this since more, more & more works need to be done. So yes, we won't make it before the deadline which mean, the full version will not be released in this month. Sorry for the inconvenience.

One more thing, thank you Fumaira for the heartwarming support & honest opinion on our games! For certain aspects like the font type, We had done some changes on that (if you can see from above screenshots.)We try to figure out how to add more save slot & fix the quality of the games, including the balance of the story. At least, before we released it, we want to make sure everything is well polished, bugs free & 100% enjoyment guarantee to everyone!

Game Design

Adding & completing new characters intro.

My team member, Kappa-San just done with 2 additional characters design. One is Tobe Saito, a 10 year boy who is looking for his mother at the station.

Although Tobe said he didn't want to get into the train without his mother, he is just like other kids who loves to change their mind. Tobe sneaked into the train since he was bored waiting for his mother.Tobe will help you sometimes when you entering the 'Hell carriages' part.


Ha-ha(Mother) Of Demons.
You will only meet her once the ''true ending.'' route was activated after doing certain tasks. You will see Ha-ha carrying her sleeping child inside a basket. The further info about Tobe & Ha-ha will be updated in character bios soon.

Announcement

Demo polished version released.

2 days ago, my teammate, Choco just update newest and this is probably will be the last update of Demo. The major differences is this latest demo version contain few arts screenshots!( art of Yui, Jiyoka, etc.), fixed passibility error and minor game play changes.

First, for those who still play on old version and not yet made it onto the train, you can just copy paste the save file of old demo version & used it into this newest version to continue.

NOTE: CRUCIAL SAVE POINT (IN CASE YOU WISH TO START AT THE POINT WHERE THE LATEST VERSION DEMO END) WHEN FULL VERSION IS OUT SOON:
CREATE A SAVE FILE BEFORE YOU TALK TO YUI DURING THE SWAN LAKE DANCE SCENE.

Also take note I am also will prepared a save file for people who had finished the old version when the full version is out so worry not for need to start from the beginning again!

Progress Report

Announcement of the full version of the game.

I am here gladly to inform the game is now 50% complete. If there is no obstacles, then this game will be finished in August. Just to let you know, we keep polishing the demo and done countless run test (so far 20 times) for glitches and bugs so cheer up! The full version will be bugs free!

All thanks for your support as well personal feed backs received lately, our lead Dark had announced the target date to complete this and we will enter the 3rd and final phase of the game progress started next 2 weeks (We are short breaks now, thank you for patience and supports.)
